Ahh, finally someone who feels the same way - everyone always seems to favor the album version. Yes, love those Darkness era vocals and that much more bass-heavy Clearmountain mix. Listening to that version elevated this song from great to classic for me.

Wow, is that a sad song! At the time I was hearing it I did not know anything about the cartels and El Chapo. Now after watching Narcos and El Chapo on Netflix I know a lot more. He was in charge of the Sinaloa cartel. There was recently a shootout there where his son was captured & released. Very interesting.

I feel like Bruce rarely modulates up like he does with the third verse of this song or with “Because the Night...” Am I wrong?
Think he does on the most part but you never know with Bruce he may have changed it up live a few times!
@@BruceGuitar That's not what he meant. He meant that it seems like Bruce rarely modulates up in his songs overall.
