Hey guys!! It seemed like a lot of you liked the concept of addressing common assumptions about NYU based on my first video so I decided to follow it up with a part two as soon as I finished my finals
Hope you enjoy this video and find it helpful!
A quick note that everyone's experiences with NYU vary but here's me talking about the common assumptions that I heard about NYU going in as freshman last fall and evaluating how true they are while also giving some tips and stories from personal experience.
As always, thanks so much for watching! Comment down below if you have any questions or comments- don't hesitate to reach out if you wanna talk about anything! Subscribe and stay tuned for more :)
so glad you made another one of these nyu videos! I'm currently in middle school and thinking about university excites me so much. NYU is my dream school and I've been doing a lot of research on it and I love your videos.
aww thanks so much!! and props to you for looking into NYU so early! rooting for you to get accepted in the future : )
I’m a Native New Yorker who has lived in ethnically and religiously diverse neighborhoods. New Yorker’s aren’t rude. The reason why they appear that way is because they’re not nice, they’re kind.
Because NY is one of the most densely populated cities, it’s easy to overstep people’s privacy/boundaries. To respect people’s space, NYers don’t smile, chat, or make eye contact because that breaks the other person’s personal bubble, which is why people may get bothered if you unnecessarily break that barrier.
However, NYers are usually kind. They won’t smile when they see you, but if they see you struggling to find a bus, they’ll help you, etc.
I LUV UR NYU VIDEOS!! Please make more!!
will do! Thank you so much
Wow these videos r BOMB! Wish I had videos like this when I was looking at colleges.

hi
I’m gonna be a freshman next year lol I’ll cya
Wait I have a question, do you think that we will be doing the first semester online because of the coronavirus?
what school/major??
@@Alrexy hmm its hard to tell but I think most likely NYU will at least provide the option to take classes in person (for smaller classes at least) and online (for larger ones)
Bridgette Gong Im gonna be in Tisch for acting
if you don't mind sharing, what were your stats in high school (GPA, sat/act)?
Hey I’m not really street smart I’ve grown up in basically one of the worlds safest country’s and what kind of things should I except considering safety
dw i was the same, and if im understanding your question correctly i think you'll have nothing to worry about if you just make sure to not be alone at night (esp in sketch areas) and install the NYU safety app, always have your phone on you, and generally stay aware of your surroundings/make safe decisions
Bridgette Gong thanks a lot
Hey, which camera do you use ?

Glad it helped!!
