I thought this was falling flat, and then it turned out to be one of my favorite sketches of the episode
Who would have thought that THAT would be the unexplored angle of a ventriloquist sketch.
Will Ferrell sketches always go flat at times throughout them lol. But he pulls through somehow with shear determination. This one seems to show more planning than they usually put in though

they ripped it off of the other SNL skit which was a million times funnier, with the monkey and the scientist, with Jonah Hill. I actually laughed so hard I literally cried and peed at that one

SNL is funniest when it makes up its own material like this that doesn’t rely on pop culture.
This was more amusing than 99% of genuine ventriloquist acts.

Joseph ....that kind of sexual assault happens to women too....however this is a comedy and as it was about an actual puppet, and you are required to put you hand in the butt of a puppet I find no offense in this. They acknowledge that consent is required in actual sexual activities by having the audience object loudly.
