The ladies on "The View" sit down for a full hour of hot topics. One of the topics that they talked about was Rush Limbaugh's recent comments that he want President Barack Obama to fail as president. This leads the co-host to get into a heated argument over the subject and eventually leads to a face of words between Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Joy's right.Just because more than 13 million people listen to Rush Limbaugh on the radio,that still doesn't mean that he's supported by each and every one of them even though he clearly has his admirers.I'm not saying that I support liberalism because I'm not from the US,but I do catch up to TYT videos from time to time.I don't necessarily agree with everything they say,but how do you think they've managed to factually report on Limbaugh's hypocrisy?That's because they have to listen to him first even though they can't stand him or his elephant-like and OxyContin addicted body.
abdulmohsen almilli Behar is an angry, bitter feminist who can't stand strong men who have power.....her & Whoopee were obviously too stupid to understand that what Rush was saying was he wanted Obama to fail, because he doesn't agree with his liberal policies.....Behar never agrees with conservative policies either and there are those who watch this show that tune in to HATE her.....My sympathies go to Elizabeth who had to deal with these boneheaded liberal nitwits everyday.....
@@MarieElaina46 Looking back at this, both Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck are hypocrites who support their party over their country no matter what. Joy Behar is a Hillary Clinton apologist; Elisabeth is a Bush apologist. The latter rails against Obama's stimulus package but never criticized Bush's No Child Left Behind or prescription drug program for seniors.

I can't stand the way Elisabeth debates about her view of Rush. She is like a little kid the way she interrupts and raises her voice when shes not getting her way. Its obvious that Rush messed up and there is a difference between not supporting and wanting to fail. America needs all the support it can get from both parties.

There are several articles about the economy improving. Having that been said they also state that we still have a far way to go to get out of the financial mess we were placed in.
I'm still waiting to see if these articles hold any water or is this smoke screening. Keeping the fingers crossed that it's the former not the latter.
We as Americans have had our fill of this and things need to start improving and soon.
There is a big difference between Rush Limbaugh, and Keith O. & Chris Mathews. How does she compare the two.

Let's look at Limbaugh's qualifications as a judge (let alone talk show pundit):1. College drop-out. 2.Stopped twice at airports for (a) illegal possession of drugs and (b) carrying Viagra while returning from "a pleasure trip" to the Dominican Republic. 3.Thrice divorced. 4.Avoided the military draft during the Vietnam War, claiming he was disabled because of a tiny pilonidal cyst on his behind.
Wow! So, you approve of Socialism. You approve of redistribution of wealth. You approve of the government controlling more of what you do and say! Do you know anything about economics?
I don't understand why people think that jobs can be created in a few months. So many people have criticized everything else that has been done, not knowing that they have been stepping stones towards job creation. Anyone who thinks this can happen overnight obviously never took a macro-economics course and needs to stop complaining about things that they don't understand (Elizabeth).

It's all about the labeling. I don't need a "stamp" on my forehead to justify my decisions in life, to define my character or personality.
Rush doesn't want America to fail. He wants socialism to fail (as it has been failing for over 50 years). Rush implicitly said that he wants America and the people to succeed. You've got to hear both sides of the story before drawing a conclusion.
I know that in countries where they have universal health care people are put on wait lists and some had to wait 8 months to get a hip replacement. Not exactly what this country needs.

I agree - I'm black and pretty progressive in my views but this gang up on one conservative is hard even for ME to watch. Why not get at least two more conservative women to represent their views - what is the View afraid of???

I learned quite a bit in my Macroeconomics course. I know that many companies can start hiring immediately if they see rays of hope and know that their taxes and other expenditures won't go up. When Obama tells us that unemployment won't go beyond 8% if we only rush the stimulus package through without reading it, why would we blame anyone else for double-digit unemployment? Isn't he the economic genius who knows big govt can save us?

I'm so glad I'm not a conservative or liberal. I think I can make up my own mind about things without having to "join a group". If I want to be open minded, I don't have to be a "liberal". If I want to work hard I work hard. If I want to be a part of a Christian group. I'll join a group with the word "Christian" in it, NOT conservative.

Race was a large part of this election mainly because the media kept stirring up the subject during his campaign. The fact is, this country has been mature enough for a black president (or whatever race you want to replace "black" with, take your pick) for a long time. Too bad Obama had to be the first.

Rush does care about the poor. More so than Obama. Rush wants the poor to feel empowered and that they are great enough to find the strength within themselves to succeed. Obama is telling them that they can't succeed by giving them handouts. He is saying that they are incapable of being successful on their own.
btw, the way these women gang up on Elizabeth really DISGUSTS me! It shows no class! We USED to think Barbara was a classy lady, but now that we can see her on the view, we know she is just an overly-opinionated bully!
i dont want to start any arguements but i went thru the video and counted the seconds liz got to speak and how many times she interrupted and how many times she got interrupted in the excerpt.
she spoke for 50 sec. total and got interrupted 4 times. she spoke 5 times, so only 1 time she got to finish her sentence. when she tried to jump in to make her points, she was asked to wait so the other person can finish their thought so she did wait. only 4 of them talked so she should get more time.
Ed McMahon used to say to Johnny Carson "as a child of four can plainly see" to exaggerate how obvious something was. Rush clearly was hoping that the president did not succeed in implementing his liberal legislative agenda. He was prescient about the impact of the president's policies on this country. Did anyone expect that this would finally be the time that central planning and Keynesian economics would work? Socialism has justifiably become a derisive term over the years and so the Obama administration denied having socialist intentions despite massive evidence to the contrary. The president would actually chuckle about being characterized as a socialist often coupling it to the birther issue which was for him the gift that kept on giving politically.
Oh, is that why many of your citizens come down here to get healthcare, even though they have to pay? I also remember seeing articles about how hospitals were closing, thus increasing the wait for healthcare, back when I took my macroeconomics class and studied it more. I guess the proof is just north of us . . .
So Joy, if Obama wanted to OVERTURN ROE vs. WADE, would you or would you not want his policy to fail? I bet you would.
Bush lowered the taxes for the lower income earner by 33%. In other words, a family of four earning 50000 per year had their Federal income taxes reduced from the 15% bracket to the 10% bracket.
In comparison, he stuck it to the rich by only giving them a 13% (39-34%) tax decrease as opposed to the 33% the lower earners got.
Bush obviously wanted the less advantaged people to keep more of their money percentage wise.
What did Obama do? he wanted to increase taxes 10% to 15% for the poor.
JakiiRSM. I do fear for the future if the neocons were ever to regain a strong position in the US. I am not American, and I believe there are a lot of Americans who just do not understand how damaging the policies of GWB (ie Cheney, Wolfowitz etc) were during that eight year tenure. The ignorance is staggering. The rise of Palin during the '08 campaign for example blew our collective minds!!

I grew up a republican until Bush and now all of this. I'm not saying Democrats don't lie but the stuff I've seen from some of the Republican party recently has been outrageous. You wouldn't believe it. This didn't happen before. Don't know why it is now.

Increased tensions from bad economy = suicides, heart attacks, etc. Also, look at crimes increasing as a result of bad economy. As far as Obama's lies, just google "Obama's lies" and you can see a large list of them.
I like a leader to think about his options in Afghanistan, but putting the healthcare push, the olympics push, and the peace price before thinking about the troops who are already there is just awful.

It's not you-I've heard her repeat, word for word, things that I've heard on Fox News or from Limbaugh. This tells me she doesn't even think about these things, just memorizes and repeats them.
As for Limbaugh, I'd like to think that people listen to him but don't believe him. Judging by some of the comments I've read on here, however, I know that's not the case.

I think i know more about health care since I am in the medical field. And No i don't have health care. The last time I had any health care was when I was ten. I had to pay for surgery out of my pocket and I have some sort of dental insurance that only covers up to 25%. I've been waiting for a year now to save up for oral surgery. So yes! it would be nice to have free health care. I'm just not one of those people that think "ooh free health care, government can't fail at that."
Conservatives own the T.V. & Radio.For the last 8yrs now Ive heard Bush referred to as Pres. Bush, or The Pres.. I have never heard, Bush referred to as Mr. Bush not once! Now I hear Pres. Obama said once in a sentence, and Mr.Obama during the rest of the paragraph. Pres. Obama is our Pres. and, I feel he deserves that title more so that the clown we recently had.
Why is Lizzy still on that show ????? I'm so glad theres a new show on that started this week - called "The Talk". It's great !!!
