    Ok, I don't understand all the people saying they cant get there gun out?? I got one about a month ago. Got a IWB for my M&P Shield 40c (3.1 barrel) Found it to tight out of the box adjusted the retention screw and it draws smoothly with just enough retention. It's high quality Leather. I appendix carry, fits my gun perfectly. Conditioned it up with some saddle soap and couldn't be more happy.

    I love my OWB lock Leather holster on my XDS mod 2. It's insanely comfortable and super concealable, you almost forget it's there. No need to struggle with IWB. Been wearing mine for 3-4 months now and haven't touched any of my other holsters for that pistol since. Easily concealable with a shirt, even easier with a hoodie. It sits very high up on the waistline and hugs your body so I personally don't care that the entire trigger guard opening isn't covered. Breaking it in takes a while, but it's no different than breaking in a new pair of leather work boots. Drawing from this holster has been the most difficult part, but I think that has to do with my gun belt being leather and easily bendable when my body heat warms it up.

    @ Urban Carry Holsters This looks to have the potential of being a great holster. Only flaw I see is that trigger guard needs to be covered completely like a Kydex holster to avoid anything getting in between that trigger and that retention clip. I’m not sure why all leather holsters never do this. Hope you guys correct this and I’ll definitely give this holster a chance.

    I just received the model 201 OWB to carry my Springfield 9mm XDS. I love the feel when I'm wearing it, Like the looks and the cant, but the damn gun won't come out of the holster - even with the retention clip screw all the way out. I will carry for a couple of weeks to see if it loosens up a little, but so far this holster has me a little nervous.

    • @brad_neal
      @brad_neal Před 4 lety +2

      Ok, so I tried the baggy trick. Not sure it did anything, but the leather is still pretty tight from not being used. However, it's not the leather that is the problem - it's the lock part that doesn't work well for a gun as wide as my XDS's trigger gaurd. My neighbor has a Sig P365, and the exact same 201 holster that I have. His gun slides in and out the way it should, but the Sig is about 25-30% narrower than my XDS. So in order to even get my gun to come out of the holster, I had to remove the screw and rubber grommet, which made it better, but still not right. UCH website specs the 201 for my gun, but I think it's too narrow and should be replaced with a wider option. Again, I'll continue to give it the benefit of the doubt by trying to break it in, but overall, I'm not happy with this holster.

      Brad Neal, the manufacturer’s website directs size 217 for the Sig P365. I bought the 217 for my Sig. It was extremely tight too, but in my case it was more the leather than the clip. After some break-in, it improved. I expect it will get better in time. Until it does, I won’t be using it outside of the house. Other reviewers have said it’s difficult to reach the company for customer support, but you might try to see if they can recommend another size for your specific 1911 and offer an exchange.

    Just got my Lock leather for my 1911. Something I noticed prob because I make my own knife sheaths for bushcraft and other fixed blade knives.Yall make a very nice sheath, HOWEVER, your edge finishing fundamentally is insufficient... This leaves the product lacking that well finished/ refined look you're getting on the rest of the holster. Can ya burnish with a wax or other appropriate finishing compound unless there is some reason to do it the way you currently do it, which looks to me like you ran it one time, dry on a mechanical burnishing tool such as a bench top grinder with a wood burnishing spindle..I'm going to hand burnish the edges myself and get that for mine but shouldn't have to.

      It does not completely cover the whole trigger guard area on my Sig P365. I’ve seen opposing views on whether or not that’s important. I did check the range of trigger motion on my Sig and it travels such a short distance for take-up and break that I can’t imagine anything behind the trigger and obstructing it. That said, I acknowledge that I’m not an expert. Will look for more information and reports based on real world incidents before using this holster outside of the house.

    I’ve had several leather holster and they are more comfortable but they fuck your gun up worse then kydex leather wears down and rubs a lot more. This looks nice tho and I bet they want $200 for that. I’ll stick to my cheap kydex. This also depends on the size of gun if your trying to conceal a full size in a kydex I could see it being uncomfortable and maybe break though I’ve never broken a kydex holster if it’s full size I like owb but tight holsters like this one. Leather tho idc what you say it is worse on guns. Any holster you buy is going to have wear points. My edc is a conceal pistol but it’s all worn and it’s 4-5 years old. Carrying a gun every day it’s just going to wear. I’m tired of expensive pointless holsters. Imagine if that retention clip got dirty and stuck and you couldn’t pull the gun fast enough.

    Wouldnt it be better if your locking holster didnt expose half of your trigger? Terrible design im sorry but you need to cover the full trigger cause someone cause still get their finger inside of the opening and pull the trigger. Its such a bad design that you guys should remove it from your site and product line up and stop making it immediately. You should be ashamed of this product.
    It is not safe to use for carrying a gun and you really should design it better.
    if someone grabs at your gun they can pull the trigger while its holster while you fight for retention of your firearm.
