Its crazy how the start of the season under martin saints looked absolutely shocking, now the team is playing under his philosophy you can see the style of the likes of barca/city etc, not to say their anywhere at that level but the short passing style not afraid to hold the ball is actually great to see and it's working wonders for them.
They weren't even that bad; they were clearly trying to get used to his style but, aside from a bad September where they lost four games (to Leicester and Ipswich who were top two at the time, and Sunderland and Middlesbrough who were both in the play-offs) and threw away the League Cup, they were still fine results-wise. The classic short-termist "fans" who wanted him sacked after 10 games are pretty quiet about it now.
I completely agree every manager/player/management/coaching staff, etc all need chance for a team or individuals to adapt their philosophy, at least to my recollection though they had a pretty bad start and where in the bottom before this insane run came along.
Love how both times we equalised the boys just ran back into their own half with fairly minimal celebration. Not content with just a draw which in previous years we would have taken - UTS
