    Great video. Thank you for introducing me to another firearm that I just didn’t know anything about. The magazine capacity is great. My big issue with many .22 LR chamberings is limited magazine capacity; especially with pistols. This gun solves that problem.

    Well now this is a interesting video and a very interesting firearm. I own the standard Sig Sauer p322 and it is definitely the best 22 LR pistol that I own. The one thing that I do like about my Sig Sauer p322 is that it will shoot any type of bulk ammo and that is very good for saving money. I do not like compensators on the end of my barrel as they are just too loud and I don't see the need on a 22 LR pistol.

    Questions: Where can I find a compensator? What kind of holster would this thing fit into?
    Looking into a full sized standard p322 to use as an EDC/self-defense gun. Comping it does seem a little silly, but keeping recoil flip to a minimum does have its advantages. Dot sights, light and laser also help; but you need a holster, all the same. Maybe removing that wing looking piece might make the Competition model more carry-friendly, if it can be removed, but I would still prefer an all black gun for an EDC.

    After your presentation of the P322 last year as probably the best polymer rimfire pistol on the market, I almost bought one...
    The market launch in Germany was a long time coming - fortunately. Because in America various, massive problems had become noticeable... I'll just say lead fowling and Customer Service...
    That's why I bought what is actually the best tactical (polymer) rimfire pistol on the market - the FN 502 Tactical! It really tolerated every cartridge that I tried - including subsonic, no problems with the barrel or the magazines, and the safety devices also worked absolutely problem-free! The video of the competition you were in, and other videos here about the 502 made me make absolutely the right decision. And the best thing about it - the FN 502 and FN 509 are almost identical. Rimfire pistol and centerfire pistol with the same grip and frame, without converting anything. Disadvantage: Here in Germany the FN 502 Tactical is even more expensive than the P322, but it was worth it...🙈

      I picked up a barely used one at the local ffl for 280. Super lucky it didn't have the barrel issue, but for that price it was worth the gamble. I got almost 2000 rounds through and cleaned the barrel once shortly after I got it. Its dirty for sure, but there's no lead in the barrel. Guy at work offered me 350 for it after he shot it and I just couldn't do it. I'm able to shoot as much as I want at my job (giant dirt pit/piles) so I usually get 3-4 mags after work. 9mm got real expensive after doing that for a month or so lol.

    As a "competition" gun this makes no sense. Steel Challenge is probably where this will be used the most. 5 round strings with time to reload. Yes the higher mag capacity makes it so you don't have to reload but the compared with more traditional guns there are just too many trade offs. On say a Ruger 22/45 the slide doesn't reciprocate. The dot stays where you put it, given it's a 22lr there is no recoil really. Most race 22's have a threaded barrel to put on a comp. And add a Tandemkross thumb rest and you pretty much have the P322 beat.

    • @22plinkster
      @22plinkster  Před 6 měsíci +3

      I never get lite primer strikes with mine. I do occasionally get malfunctions because of the magazine. I have found if you tap the magazines a few times with your hand or on a hard surface, it helps seat the rounds to where they need to go. Just like what you'd do with an AR magazine. There's a reason why many companies stick with a 10 round magazine, then try to make a staggerd magazine.

      @TheNclandbroker Před 6 měsíci

      @@danielclemens4509 I've had the P322 for over a year now and have put around 2000 rounds through it. Sent it back to sig after about 6-700 rounds due to light primer strikes and a defective rear sight. They fixed both it seems, as the pistol now runs very well as long as I clean it every 400-500 rounds or so, which is the same as my TX22. It's not perfect but nothing in the 22LR auto pistol world really is. It's a rimmed dirty little cartridge that is not 100% reliable in any autoloader pistol, let alone one that can hold 20-25 rounds. My TX22 and Sig P322 are both among my most used and most enjoyed firearms, particularly because they are adaptable to popular muzzle devices. Sig customer service was very good and the turnaround time was fast, fwiw.

    The p322 is a nice concept but executed poorly. It jams to much the barrels had a problem with leading. I had my choice between the P322 and the Glock 44. I took the Glock and I couldn’t be more happy. The only downside is it isn’t cut for an optic. I just run CCI or aguila no problems. I didn’t want to take the risk buying the P322 and spending weeks dealing with their customer service. I would confidently take a Taurus TX22 over the P322 that Taurus will run anything. You can shoot "kind of precision" you said. Sorry, but the gun should be able to do better to be worthwhile. Another reviewer said the gun is capable of shooting 3" groups at 15 yards. I don't think that's good at all. My Taurus TX22 Competition shoots much better than that. I also don't like the fact that it comes with a pre-selected red dot. He only has a few of those lights. Maybe 4-5 at most. Has WAY more targets than that.

    A compensator on a .22 is a joke. There simply isn't enough gas exiting the bore to push on anything. From what I can see in the video this pistol still has the same amount of recoil as the standard P322, and what there is is mostly caused by the slide coming back.

    A comp on a .22 is like a spoiler on a stock Honda civic... what's the point??

      @@22plinkstera lot. Comps are dirt collectors and the flip decrease is,negligible.

    Giant comp on a 22 is cringe. I'd like to see a slow motion video comparing the comp to a plain bolt on the end of equal weight to see if it's doing anything.

    P322 are crapy pistols . Jam city with most ammo . Sad but true . Don’t waste the money .

      I have (2) P322’s and have no issues with quality ammo like CCI (not high dollar match grade). I have lots of issues when I ran cheap bulk Remington ammunition. 🤷‍♂️

      Wrong, I have a P322, 1200 rounds through it. Excellent gun, very accurate.

      @PripyatPlayground I owned it for about a year and in that time I had to send it back to sig in nh 3 different times all for the same reason, after the first 3 Mags only 60 rnds I noticed the gun sounded different so I broke it down the end of the barrel had so much lead buildup it was no longer round, so i sent it back they replaced the barrel and two other parts, after 2 months I got it back went to the range 4 Mags 80 rounds it did it again, 3 months later I got it back and they replaced the barrel again, took it back to the range about 2 months after that I put 7 Mags through it cleaning the barrel after every mag and it did it again so when I got it back I sold it as fast as I could lol my taurus tx22 has about 5k rounds through it never had a single problem
