I've never seen a CZcams channel like this before where every single video is very informative and as highly entertaining. Great job and keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you so much! That means a lot!
Young ones just cubed them up add seasons & Dijon mustard & fry
The only problem is Ken makes you very hungry after watch his cooking, which I love to watch.
That was a good episode I love that you guys prayed over the food and gave thanks.👍👍👍👌👌👌
Thanks Man! I appreciate you watching and commenting
Always nice to hear GRACE before a meal.
Thanks for watching!
It was awesome to see people not afraid to say grace at dinner. May the Lord continue to bless your journey
Gotta see that crab stew video! Great job!
Thanks Jay! I appreciate your continual support.
You can tell just how prehistoric they’re by how hard their scales are. That looks like some real good eating 👍.
Love IT I'd like to know where's that fishing holes at ha ha
That’s true! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
right! Watching that I was like "look at this f'n dinosaur right here"
It is! 💯
Never have I fathomed eating a gar. I assume they would be disgusting. Maybe I'd try it one day but I highly doubt it
Brings back a lot of good memories. Can remember my father using a machete and bare foot to clean big gars. My mother would fry the gar balls just like you with a lot of green onions and then add them to a brown gravy.
You look familiar. I've lived in Louisiana all my life. Keep up the great video's
Glad I stumbled on your channel. The world needs more smiles. You give many.
Awe ! Thank you! That means a lot!
Channels like this are why legacy media and Hollywood are doomed. This dude is a thousand times more authentic and entertaining than anything the jokers on food network have to offer. Keep it up and God bless!
Lol! Well thanks Christopher! I appreciate the support brother
Damn y’all got me starving and binge watching your channel lol 👍
Lol! That’s what I like to hear!🤣Thanks! I appreciate that!
Lol, brother that's the way we Cajuns and Creoles cook: by hand measurement. Definitely one of the best Gar recipes!
Lol! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I’m from southwest Louisiana and this is every weekend Indeed…. Family, fishing and food! Love the channel! Really hits home
That's exactly how my dad tought me to clean them exact same way. Great video
You can skip the step cutting off the head and cut the skin down to wear its opened up like wings and make a little slit and run your fingers down the ridge and the meat comes almost off then cut the rest of the way and pull it off. I was amazed the first time I did it how easy those filets just come right off and boneless

Thanks for watching! I appreciate the support brother
My daddy made a board similar to the one you used. It fit across the gunwales of the aluminum boat we had. He would clean the gars on it while we were waiting for more gars to hit the net (this was back when you could gill net them in south Louisiana). My mom would make the gar balls, roll them in a little flour and pan fry them then make a gravy from the roux formed from the flour falling off the boulettes. Eat that with some rice sa c’est bon!! We would also take the filets and just season them and pan fry them. Much better than frying in fish fry. Also, if you catch a few take a spoon and scrape the bones, you’ll get more meat for the boulettes. Enjoying the channel.
That’s awesome! Sounds delicious! Thanks for watching and commenting
The food looked amazing, and it was great to see that people still pray before a meal. God Bless 🇺🇸
Thanks brother!
Love your videos man! I'm from lafayette and love seeing these kind of videos. Nothing like life in Louisiana! Keep it up, great job!

OMG, That looks AMAZING! can a Jersey Boy come to eat! lol
Lol! Sure can brother! We don’t turn anybody down. Thanks for watching Donald
naw you stay right their in your traitor north state
Thanks for showing me a better wat to get that far meat out. My shears are never good enough but I do own a cleaver.
Thank you for watching!
I just take a carpenter’s hand saw and cut crosswise 2” slabs. Then it’s easy to take a knife to cut out the meat into steaks or grind into gar balls.
@@calvinwinn7643 Nice!
I love your videos, I have learned so much watching your videos, now I know how to clean and cook gar fish ball... keep the videos coming... awesome job
Well thank you so much! I appreciate the support!
Thank you so much for the great video. So much better to see it done than just a recipe.
Thanks Gary! I appreciate you watching and commenting
I wish more people start to eat Gars. These fish are normally abused by fishermen. After accidentally hooking them, people just throw them on the rock to let them rot, what a waste of good protein!
They are good! Thanks for watching!
Always good eating in South East Texas
"I'm gonna clean this gar."
Proceeds to reach for power drill...
Gar is really good man. Have you tried it ?
Lovin the Cajun cooking tips from up here in Kansas! Keep up the good work!

No problem! Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it Gary!
your video brought back a lot of memories. my aunt used to do balls. however she held nothing back. no matter what meat it was from turtles to gar. she made balls out of it all. she would scrape the bottom out after frying to make gravy. god bless and keep yall

When I used to fish at the Everglades when I kid with my grandpa he told me that gar wasn’t good to catch. I wish he was alive so that we could watch this video together. My thinking is that maybe it’s a lot of work to prepare and he didn’t want to mess with that. Awesome video
