JMT 2024 - The Yosemite Rabid Plague Squirrels

Just one simple question: If the super friendly squirrels are as diseased as they say, then why are they not easily and humanely trapped, vaccinated against rabies, and relocated to a more remote part of the wilderness?!?

Squirrels virtually never get rabies so the sign makers isn’t too bright. Our hospital ER docs won’t even administer rabies shots to anyone bitten by a squirrel since the chances of them having rabies are so remote. They are truly beautiful!

@@ellenj8896 I got bit by a squirrel once at college and the doctors didn’t even mention rabies now that I think of it. Squirrels 🐿️ are truly beautiful!
