Luca has always been a phenomenal potter, and today he was at the top of his game, 96% pot success over 10 frames is amazing. Was nice to see Wilson acknowledge the better player at the end. Going to be a great final

Not to downplay my fellow countryman Luca's performance, but Ronnie was playing at this level when he was ten years younger than Brecel is now. The general standard of course is not comparable. We have been in a new snooker era for a while now...
@@Bob.martens Not only that but when Ronnie was a kid and played at this level, he was not able to watch matches on youtube and steal techniques, strategies, and play and pause ... alot snooker players nowadays have that ability to do and are therefor not comparable to Ronnie.

Not really, I'm not saying he's not a good player but he doesn't resembles Ronnie in his younger days. Ronnie was down to a shot as fast as rocket even before securing the frame. Luca on the other hand takes his sweet time looking at the shots before going down on it. It's only after he secured the frame that he his pace quicken.
What a finish, the crowd were behind Luca from the beginning and he entertained them thoroughly. It was nice see kyren clap as well...

Luca is a good player but his positional play and shot selection is not quite yet to a world class level. If he sort this bit out of his game he can become a world champion very soon

Luca vs Zhao Xintong! Talent vs talent! I would be happy for either of them. It's good to see these players win. Not always Judd or Selby or Robertson. Also I don't think it would have mattered if Ronnie beat Kyren Wilson, Luca would beat Ronnie in this form anyway

Well what do you know! Wilson rattled the pocket yet again, but this time it didn't drop! Should be a very good final between two players who rely on skill, not luck! I like both Brecel & Xintong....but I'd like to see Xintong take out the final.

I was really down when Ronnie didn`t beat Whinge Wilson, but Luca Brecel rose to the task, and sent Whinge Wilson home. Now, it is Brecel vs. Xintong for the final.
KYREN WILSON WILL NEVER WIN A TRIPLE CROWN EVENT IN MY OPINION. Decent player but never seems to get over the line. Soft and focuses too much on uncontrollable details. Overly emotional too.
