Rocking the chest armor! Time to get rowdy on the trails.
Nice work. Glad your wife was ok. Copper Harbor looks fun.
Thanks!
Nicely done. Not the crash, though it was graceful. Its a good thing she wears all that protection. The place looks fun.
Overflow is nuts. Glad the Duchess (?) of MTB got out of that unscathed. Gotta say though, that was some sick bail footage to watch. Never seen that angle of someone eating dirt like that before 😆.
Yeah, she's a strong one. Glad you liked that shot. 😊
Truly my most favorite place. Not just to ride, but Hunters Point beach is so prehistoric and Estavante Pines a surreal hike.
Copper Harbor really is magical. Always a pleasure to spend a few days there.
Really nice edit guys.
Thanks, Rob! Glad you enjoyed it.
Dude, I'm convinced Cory is made up of adamantium and has regenerative powers. Lol 😆 Gnarly video !
So it's not just me then. 😅
She’s so brave. Ride safe.
That she is. You too. 😊
I like your music. Sometimes it reminds me of the music from Scooby-Doo
Glad I'm not the only one to realize that the trail is not the highlight of this video.
It's all about the journey and the adventure, not the road. 😉👍
That drop at 1:00 is serious, for sure. Witnessed a coworker break his collar bone right there
Ouch. I hope he's otherwise alright now. 😅
@@dukeofmtb oh yeah, he's all healed up now. Still biking too
@@superfly2201 That's good to know. Keep safe out there. Cheers! 😁👍
Nerves of steel Corey - but dang that front brake 🤦♀️ good to see you walk away ok and carry on
I know😊 i can’t believe that I didn’t break any bones😂 and most importantly my bike wasn’t damaged 😁
Hey Duke I met you guys at Boyne highlands yesterday, such a pleasure man and so sick following you into dirt sampler! Wish I would've ran into you guys earlier in the day. Hope the rest of your ride was good!
Dude! You sent the sh*t out of that trail. Nerves of steel! 🤘
@@dukeofmtb Thanks! And thanks for the advice on the log jump! I wasn't even going to ride DS that day.
Oh no! Front brake, man pants! Camera does it no justice. lol video is Awesomeness!!!! I just went to order some merch need his and her mugs. I could just do 2 different colors. :) much love!
That's awesome, dude! Appreciate the love. Glad you enjoyed the vid. 😊
@@dukeofmtb absolutely brother. 👊
Great video man! I'm planning on heading up there as soon as possible in the spring 🤘
Thanks! I think you'll love it. That little town is a slice of heaven. Although, it's still a little cold there in the spring.
Awesome video! can't wait to get up there and ride those trails myself. Although I must admit videos like these definitely make me a bit nervous haha
You're gonna love it. Everything has a bypass, so you can hit everything at your own pace. 👍
I've had my eye on that place for a while now - looks sick! Can't wait for summer - going to try to make a trip up from southern Wisconsin to hit Marquette, Copper Harbor, and Duluth, MN, on a four-day trip. Awesome video!
Thanks. I think you're gonna like Copper Harbor. That town is a little slice of heaven. If the winters weren't so freaking long up there, it'd be a pretty sweet spot to retire. We love sitting on a bench at the lake and watching the sun set after a long day of riding when we're there. It's so zen.
It must had been hot that day
This was in the middle of summer. The insects there are something else. 😅
Yesterday I did a full run of every dte trail in one ride with no stops and By the time I was on the last half of big came doing the climbs I knew I was gonna be done for the day😂
Lol. I think we've only ridden everything in one go once. It's pretty exhausting. Kudos for doing it. At this point, I'd rather just chill and session features all day. 😅
@@dukeofmtb you been to pontiac recently? There are a few new lines, new skinny (that isnt all that skinny tbh). Good stuff theyre doing out there!
@@Katabatic44 aww, man. It's been while. We might check it out later in the fall when the bike parks close.
Damn that looks fun. Scary, but fun lol
Accurate description. 😄
Yeah boy!!! Very cool vid. Hey quick question, when did y'all do this ride? 2020?
Late June 2020😊🤙
What have you all been doing to feel like you’re ready to hit those gap jumps now? CH is a real gem.
Tons of practice and progression. Eventually you just gotta do it though. Those gaps and "Man Pants" are the goal for next season. 😁
The Duke of MTB yeah boi!
I'll be there on friday!!
Sweet! Have fun! 👍
You two make such great videos!
My wife loves to watch too and she's not an MTBer
Thanks! That's awesome that she enjoys the vids even though she doesn't ride! 😁
Corey is such a daredevil. I love it!💥💯
When we going to see your new bike? Saw you were selling your remedy on Facebook.
Probably around Winter. I'll have enough riding in by then to give an in depth review by then. I want to get through my backlog of footage first.
That wouldve been scary..
That place looks so fun wish I could go there
You will one day. 👍
Hopefully
@@bennyfilms6014 If there's a will, there's a way. 😉
Love watching you both ride, it's great to see how you tackle some of the hard stuff. Big props to you both! Be well, ride safe and cheers from the San Francisco! (BTW, are you sure Cory isn't part Terminator? She just bounces back like nuthin' will hurt her. Jeez, I wish I was like that...)
Thanks! I can't believe we have viewers in San Fran. She's definitely a humanoid robot from the future. 😁
@@dukeofmtb SoCAL as well, I'll pass this on to my brother there. With all the fires here lately, it's been more than 2 weeks since I rode. I'm itching to get back on the trails. So for now, I live vicariously through youtube and folks like you.
That's a bummer about the fires. Hope you get to ride soon. 😊
Glad Cory is ok. What happened to the camera? Is it a inta360 one x? You get very good quality footage.
She's a strong one. 💪 And yes, it's a One X. It got flung forward. The mount and all came right off her helmet. No damage though. Thanks!
Yeah boi
For Blue-trail rider, is there any alternative line on that trail to avoid all big drop and jump stuffs and just enjoy the trail?
and which protective armor and pads you recommends. I have been to cooper harbor but never been into MTB trail. I have climbed Brockway on road bike all the way up twice and the road was rough enough that I though I was on MTB trail already. haha
Yup. There is ride-arounds for everything. It's still gonna be a little scary the first time down, especially if you've only ever ridden blues. But you'll be fine if just take it slow and easy. We like the Alpinestar Bionic Chest Protector with the removable shoulder armor. Don't forget your knee pads. Good luck! 😁👍
I would like to ride with you guys one day.
Haha. We wouldn't wanna slow you down with our shenanigans. 😅
@@dukeofmtb lol u guys are fun to watch
@@allday-everyday41 Thanks!
I know the gap doesn’t look big but I was there and it was almost 8 feet horizontally and 6 feet drop
Yup. Definitely don't want to time that one wrong and end up falling off. Ouch. 😅
My wife and I just got into mtb, we live in Goodrich. Where would you recommend to go and start learning?
I would go check out the Holly-Holdridge trails just south of you. I would recommend you start with the western trails there. The West Loop is a ton of fun, and it isn't too long. Download the Trailforks app on your phone to help you navigate and to find other good trails nearby. Have fun!
Check out boler mountain in london ontario great place to learn and practice your climbs
Eventually you gotta hit DTE. It's in Chelsea. So so good start on green lakes loop, work your way up to kame, winn, sugar loop. Hey Duke, you know when the Cassidy loop is gonna be done at DTE? Supposed to resemble copper harbor. I love copper harbor. Overflow is amazing. Have yall hit the South Marquette Trails Duke? They are just as amazing as copper just a lot of climbing to the top. I was that fella that ran into you at Boyne in the parking lot. Keep up the good footage. That one cliff drop on Overflow is just mental. The one with the ride around towads then end of the trail..Havent worked up the courage to hit it yet!
@@tylerhudson3845 Oh yeah, we always hit up Marquette on the way back from CH. We didn't record much though. We had some amazing footage from Harlow Lake. It would have made for an awesome video, but it all got corrupted.
I was to much of candy ass to hit Overflow when I up there.
Understandable. It was the last trail we tried the first time we went there. We avoided it until the last second. You should check it out next time. It's still pretty amazing even if you don't hit most of the features.
What types of bikes do y’all have
Cory's on a Canyon Spectral and I'm on a Trek Remedy.
How big is that drop
PM'd on IG with a photo.
Do you like wearing pads and what pads do u recommend
Gap jumps are simply the stupidest thing in MTB. It's fun to jump. But when minimal traction is available due to skinny tires (I ride MX dirt bike as well) and no way to crank a bit of speed at last second, they are simply dangerous baloney. So many people getting hurt needlessly. Even if you are a top MTB rider, ANY run up to a jump can be slightly off, ending in disaster.
I wouldn't mind if all jumps had a tabletop just in case. 😅
