Got my annual inspection done over the weekend. Tuesday DOT pulled me in for an inspection and tell me my axle kingpin was loose. I tried tightening it and it wouldn’t budge it was tight as hell. Went in to tell him it was tight and he goes “if you say it’s tight it’s tight….still $150 though”. After I got back home I took it to the garage I frequent to have him look at it and he goes “dude that’s not loose…” moral of the story. DOT rules are up to the officers imagination.

I started driving truck in 1995. I have had a lot of great encounters with DOT officers and inspectors. However, when you meet a dirt bag inspector that is only interested in writing tickets and checking a box, I lose all respect at that point. If I do something wrong, I have no problem with receiving a citation. However, when an officer writes a citation he knows is bull, we will no longer be friends. Why are all states not required to allow trial by declaration? In order to fight a BS ticket, I have to take time off work and travel on my own dime to appear in court. Unless it’s a huge fine, it is just not worth it. Over the last 28 years, I have only had one employer that I didn’t have to fight with to get equipment fixed. Yet, inspectors couldn’t care less. If I was guaranteed not to be cited, I would just ask for the inspection myself, but there is no guarantee.

How can they when we have a nation of tax charging slave drivers selling the training which is 3rd world and wrong. The god damn human trafficking ads youtube and facebook keeps showing needs to stop. When the employed are charging to train the unemployed is when we know society has failed coworkers. Human labor trafficking is when people train unemployed people rather than training their hired employed coworkers. The state governors need sued for their human labor trafficking of the American people. The political plaintiffs need to have the English dictionary rewritten so that the definitions of the words commercial and commerce say - unemployed license holders who are denied the federal minimum wage with no commercial place of employment to go on such a license and the unemployed individuals are expected to pay out of their own pocket for training to operate commercial equipment because it is no longer a commercial companies job to safely train employees on how to safely operate the equipment needed to sustain a commercial business. OSHA and the unions have been doing this crap too where they are charging unemployed individuals outside of workplaces for training and calling that progress to safety when unemployed individuals not even hired are being taught how to do a job by people not even employed by the job their showing how to do can't be safe. How is a bunch of private schools with teachers claiming to be commercial that charge money to show unemployed individuals how to do work for some other company they themselves have not been hired by in anyway safe? Commercial license are unconstitutional and the tax charging politicians need sued for their misclassification of unemployed individuals that do not match the definition of the words commercial nor commerce to be holding nor training for such a license without commercial employment of the federal minimum wage or commercial ownership of a business. To meet commercial standard a person must be being compensated the federal minimum wage. The feds called it the minimum wage because it is not the option wage which is why all license and training claiming to be commercial should be shut down and sued for the federal minimum wage to meet the minimum definition of commercial and commerce trading rather than only meeting the definition of slave driving and human labor trafficking. A commercial company name needs to go on commercial license to verify the workers been properly trained to operate the companies equipment rather than having a bunch of human labor traffickers failing to meet the federal minimum wage training uncompensated slaves and selling them license like tax charging enemies. Do the judges think the military ought to do like civilian businesses and take the company name off the license since it is no longer companies problem to sign off on properly training personnel to operate the equipment needed to operate a company to satisfy human labor traffickers in the ranks so they can be tax chargers selling the training. Just start charging the folks 5-10,000 plus dollars to attend basic training to learn how to serve war general George Washington's oath of issue because basic training is a school to good for the tax charging enemies not to sell like the tax charging police forces charge to attend their private ran police academies to learn how to serve tax charging politicians within the separate state political cartels? Why do yous think one county cartel prosecutes for stuff in their courts that ain't even a law in another county cartel courts and vice versa. The United States with their separate cartel pig forces has grown far foreign from being united to the oath of our constitution that we are no different than any corrupted 3rd world nation up in war with ourselves. It would be to easy for we the people to fix all these political messes of lawlessness. We would be paying taxes on our oath of issue out the end of barrels in lead and copper exchanges to the unholy tax chargers not yet shot dead full of holes. If the war vets fought and died for separate state tax chargers to tax fine and fee war general George Washington's troops then they would have called the nation the SSA Separate States of America rather United States with an oath of issue that has been hijacked by tax charging criminals within the ranks. The 3rd amendment even says to take our second and take quarters as soldiers since peace time of our war general George Washington's oath of issue has been infiltrated by unholy tax charging commies taxing our hard earned incomes away to uncompensated slavery. The founding fathers knew the unholy separate state cartel tax oppressors can go tax and enslave God when they die which is why we have the 2nd amendment to stop peoples thievery of the monetary system that caused all this ununited enslaved tyranny. Where did all the political thieves and their police cartels of today ever get the idea their oath is to tax everybody's hard earned money away rather than being united civil servants where local goes to county and county goes to state and state goes to the country command in Washington to receive their issue rather than being a bunch of treasonous criminals stealing our hard earned incomes away like god damn slaves. This oath to corruption like we have today within the ranks that have to collect the peoples hard earned income away as tax to fund their corrupted police forces that serves the people slavery since they no longer serve an oath of issue to otherwise fund themselves laying down the law in the Capital where war general George Washington the Commander in Chief head banker responsible for the oath of issue once lived is criminal tax charging treason theft of the people and not a government. czcams.com/video/YN0e0RC3Zu0/video.html

they will find a problem. even if they make it them selves. or change there wording to make it so.
yes there are trucks with very bad problems. but any machine running as hard as a truck does over the increasing piss pore roads there will always be a problem showing up.
now if the states would really spend the tax moneys collected for road repairs. on the roads. NOT “ other” projects.

Once had my log book (paper .. long.time ago) I drew my line just 15 min too long. It was almost rounded up right. They were going to fine me $500 for falsification etc. I asked them what the fine was for no log book $300. I wanted to throw the book in the trash and save $200. 2 hours later they let me go .
Another time I had an air compressor chained to my flatbed. The port officer wanted the bill of sale for the value so he could tax me. Fi ally after 3 hours of bullcrap id had enough. I asked whats maximum charge for a million dollar equipment . $24 dollars. So frustrating.

why test the turn signals separately instead of 4 ways on for pre trip walk around? Pigtail connection on trailer you've never hauled might not be properly wired. Seen it first hand - right is left and left is right. 4 way only walk around would never catch that.

Intentional neglect is what i tend to have to worry about as a driver. Regularly scheduled maintenance according to the manual will save a lot of headaches. Not many drivers are more mechanically inclined than the engineers who manufactured these trucks. If you do that, i don't see how you could run into these nightmare scenarios the dot will highlight, like a quarter inch layer of dust and grease over cracked brake drums and leaking airlines. Companies those days seemed more and more to blame the driver for everything while doing more and more to alleviate driver pti responsibility, as this leaves too much room for error, with onsite mechanics and slip seating drivers. Never got assigned a truck with a flat tire before.

I drove for 45 years I had tickets from the DOT and neither one of them was about safety all they said it was but it didn’t have anything to do with it it just the officer needed a ticket and that’s what he did one I would stop you don’t have enough straps on your load Well yes I do know I said OK I’ll I’ll throw a couple more stabs shit OK oh the county officer wants to talk to you so I go around the truck. He’s right now to take it already. OK I got the ticket they left I got in the truck and I left. I did not throw one belt, so you tell me it was about safety no it wasn’t so I have many many examples of DOT officers needing tickets to pump up their whatever yes there is some real blatant things that go on on trucks and drivers should see but I still say the same thing like an owner operator had on his truck everybody’s piggy bank and that’s exactly what it is
