ABOUT US - PACIFIC PINES RANCH
After spending several years living the "city life", we decided we wanted a change. We sold almost all of our possessions, renovated a camper van, and toured the US looking for a piece of land to start our journey. After almost 2 years, we found our piece of paradise in the Pacific Northwest, and Pacific Pines Ranch was born. It's our goal to be as self sufficient as possible and learn as many new skills along the way as we can. Pacific Pines Ranch was built on the principles of repurpose, repair, and reuse, and that can be seen throughout the property and the container build. Our three story shipping container house consists of 7 containers, and we plan on leaning the skills and trades to do almost all of the work ourselves. PRETTY AMBITIOUS, I KNOW. Our projects on the ranch range from home DIY, mechanic work, welding, woodworking, property development, foraging, fishing, adventures and anything revolving around building and tools. Follow along on our social media channels and SUBSCRIBE to join us on our projects and adventures on the ranch!

My knees and back ache just watching the position you have to get in to do most of your welding.
Mine do too sometimes, but a little bit of rest and we're back at it. :)
You are doing a great job and it take time to built the house and welded it not a fast job it take time and keep up with a great job on the house from 🇬🇧
Thank you!! :)
Sorry about the welder.. Thanks for sharing
Thanks!!!
Amazing what you do. Seems like these numerous setbacks/delays always teach you some sort of lesson. Keep the faith and trudge on. All will be finished some day.. You are doing just fine!!!
Thank you so much!!! :)
The welder has fans in it but with humidity i would keep it blowing on the welder as long as humidity is around.
Now that we store it in an enclosed space it hasn't had that issue anymore thankfully!
Use ESAB welders there tough !!
Thx for the tip! :)
Great job.
Thank you!!
You need get circular saw for cutting that c channel seen other people cut thur 3/4" I beams like butter using metal cutting blades. Look it up may save you from burning up a grinder.
Yes we definitely need one of those. :)
You guys have done so much welding on this home of yours, you could open up your own Welding shop haha 😄 😆
Lol who knows where life will take us! :)
oooooh... looking forward to grind, weld, paint, repeat...CONCRETE!
Lol love that!! :)
you guys are amusing 🤙🤙🤙🤙
Thank you!!
on the welder --- it's the power source .... just saying ....
place looks great ....
Thanks!! :)
Totally tricking out your place, so awesome to see!
Thank you!!!
Great job welding. Didn't realize the garage wall was not parallel to the house. I have the same welder. Are you running it off a generator? And is it set at 110 or 220? Thanks!
Ours runs at 220 mostly! We've ran it both ways and also on a generator as well.
When welding structural steel, NEVER weld down hill ! ! ! Always weld up Hill. You will get a stronger weld ! Just a suggestion on my part. Keep up the good work ! New subscriber. Like what I see ! ! !
Thanks. Good to know!
Thank you!! And thanks for the tip. :)
Good evening from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Your build is coming along nicely. Hope you have a better week. Look forward to seeing your next video. 🇺🇸
Thank you!! :)
Although you had some problems with your weldingmachine it looks awesome, and made some good progress. Dumbs up for you guys! And all that same work day in and dayout is not realy much fun.
But in time it will give you a lot of furfillment that you did all those things by yourself🌹🌹🌹
Great job looking forward to the next❤❤❤
Thanks so much!!! :)
Wow, very hard work. Yet your home will be very beautiful when you are done. ❤❤🎉🎉
Thank you!!! :)
I completely understand your situation with the weather! We bought land in what was agriculture land, no trees, no buildings, so no shade anywhere and 85% off the whole year its windy, which means we cannot have any umbrellas or do any kind of building when this wind rolls in. Its really frustrating.
It really tests your patience and mental strength!
love what your doing and cant wait to see it all come together im a welder by trade and must say you blow my mind watching you weld i know its something that needs done but i must say your a go getter i love the new shower house also it gave me some ideals for a outside shower that i want to do in my back yard one with nature look forward to every video you release
Thank you so much!!! :)
Thanks a lot for the sharing.
Just wondering how you did the Design?
Thx so much!! We did the design ourselves and had everything engineered.
Awesome job. My dad was an Arc welder. So I know how much work it is for any welder. You both compliment each other. Enjoy very much watching every week!!!!!! You both work so hard. You are going to enjoy it when completed!!!!!!!
Thanks so much!! Definitely can't wait to move in. :)
Ranch 👍👍👍
Thanks!! :)
Keep on keeping on: you're doing great, none of it looks easy. It's tough on the brain as well as the body. X
Thanks so much!!! :)

The video is live now! :)

am watching now 😘😁😁😁😁👍✔️
Do you guys capture water?
yes yes am number 25 😅
What kind of welder are you using? (MIG, TIG ect)
It is a multi process machine but we mainly run MIG with flux core
Those views from the windows…wow!
Thanks!! It's one of my favorite parts of the house.... the view :)
You guys work so hard, it will be amazing xx
Thanks!! :)
You guys haven't had that Vulcan welder that long, does it still have any warranty time left on it. You maybe able to get it fixed or replaced for free at Harbor Freight.
We always buy the extended warranty so we are all good :)
Awesome job looks amazing
Thank you!!!
Hi Guys, my name is paul and im subscribed to your channel, I occasionally watch and learn from your channel, i have container home project in the US and overseas, do you guys happen to know where or the list of stores I can buy accessories for these? Some upgrades I feel like I can do it on my own (eg. door replacements, roof deck railing, roof shed etc). Your advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)
Thank you! I haven't found a one stop shop that sells all container items. I'd suggest to check online or maybe ask around near a shipping port where they get their replacement parts. Hope that helps!
Love it keep it up as always 💘
Thank you!!!
Greetings, I live in Thurston County outside Olympia, I built my house in 2013. My background is engineering & computer science, I’ve also worked as a general contractor building houses. I was just curious, will you’re home have a final inspection for a certificate of occupancy. In the future if & when you sell it, it will be easier for bank financing. Great job, love your channel 💜
Thank you!!! Yes we have inspections throughout the build and we will also need a final for the certificate of occupancy :)
I am just wondering did you have any prior training with welding before you began all of this, and if not are you self trained? I have wanted to ask for a while now, but it seems like only one of you primarily weld, so I wondered if it is because your interests diverge or if you have training.
I am self taught and I usually do the welding because we try to balance the tasks (Vaillant does most of the grinding because it's more physical, etc)
Where did you buy those big doors, I love them and would like to install them on my house? Please let me know if the have a web page or a link.
We made them. You can see the process here: czcams.com/play/PLf6VUWT4trtXCynkEWiQ6wSFQQNNSrR6Z.html
You can also buy the plans for them here: www.pacificpinesranch.com/product-page/glass-door-conversion-plans
Where’s the elevator goin in
Lol no elevator............yet :)
Hang in there .... forward progress not perfection
Thank you :)
one day i will be number 1 😂❤
Who design that concept and the whole structure? Is a civil engineer involve in all this cause you guys know what you need and where is need to go.!!!
Yes the plans for the house are engineered
🇳🇴👍👍👌
Thank you!
👨🚒
Thanks!
I don't remember seeing you mention permits or inspections as you build your home. Can you do a program on what you've had to do and what remains? Have any of your steps required professional certifications from Civil or Mechanical engineers or such like? How about your electrical or plumbing plans? Curious to know how you engage with local regulations and what they require?
I will try to include that info in a future video! :)
Are you a welder by trade or was taught by your husband?
I am self taught :)
Very good, your husband have nothing to worry about. N I C E
👍❤️👍❤️
Thank you!!
Great project - too much talking
Thanks!
I'ts likely in an earlier video, I recently found your channel and have binged a lot, but can you explain again the reason why the wall is at an angle to the containers and not parallel?
The way our land is sloped, that was our only option to maximize the views and space. :)
Yay a new one!!! Been waiting :)
One by one!! :)
