- This little devil is probably the most popular nymph in the UK. Easy to tie, and found in many variants, this is one of my favorites, with a hot head. The jungle cock can be dropped or substituted with biots.

Great fly and a masterly execution.
Thanks my man.
Great fly, thanks for sharing. All the best, Sean
Nice job I always pick up a little something from you when you tie flies that helps me out. Thanks
Thanks Mike, good to know it helps.
Great fly to tie and you make it look so easy to do I'll attempt it in the morning it will take me about 6 goes to get it just right great video as well
Thanks Keith, practice makes perfect!
Thank you for another great video! I recently asked for advice on buzzer fishing in a fly tying community on FB, and several people mentioned the diawl bach as one of the flies in a nymph/buzzer setup. I’m going to give this little devil a try now. Cheers! Roger.
Thanks, its a very popular pattern in the UK, used a lot by competition fishermen.
As all ways barry thanks for sharing . Some day Barry I would love to see you tye some of the bumble patterns
Hi Maz, thanks, I will try and do some bumbles very soon.
Bravo! 😊
Мухенция получилась просто супер.
Slow golf clap for the fly first of all. Slightly missing the trim cut was the only thing close to a mistake I’ve seen you make, for some reason it was funny to hear you breath out of your nose when it happened. Sometimes I cut my tying line and watch everything “relax” on the hook lol
LOL, yeah Owen. The way I film the videos POV I have the camera almost directly in front of the vice, so I have to sit about 30 cm to the left of the vice, so finishing up is always the most difficult thing because I can't see the head of the fly from where I am sitting.
Hi how do you protect the tinsel as I made a few of these and after a few trout the get cut to bits on there teeth how would you combat this problem.
Hi danonline, That unfortunately is the nature of tinsel Im afraid. If you have had a couple of trout on a fly i would be satisfied with the result, but if you would like to try and make them more robust I guess you could use real metal tinsel...
Barry , great tying as usual. are there specific colour combinations you can use ?
New scissors from the bffi Barry
No Anthony, a gift from Italy.
Very high quality videos! Mr. Barry what the camera do you use for shooting video?
Hi, I use a Canon EOS 1 111D
Another great one, Barry. Any substitute for the jungle coque?
I am going to try some dyed goose biot, I'll tie it close to the base then trim it.
Hi K, Thanks. You can use turkey or goose biots instead of the Jungle cock.
How is this fly fished?
Hi as a traditional nymph.
Красота👍👍👍
