In Episode 10 of Stomping Grounds, Boat Trader heads to central Texas to explore boating culture in the lone star state. Second only to Alaska in size, Texas is known as the place where everything is bigger. From big college football games to endless oil fields and vast wind farms, Texas is home to more than 30 million Americans. But the state is about more than just big oil, college football and cattle farms - it's also home to some of the best boating in the country. Boasting a myriad of waterways, boaters here enjoy hundreds of lakes, rivers and streams that provide recreational opportunities, abundant wildlife and plenty of fishing. Host Ryan McVinney and the Boat Trader crew meetup with pro wake surfer Morgan Lohmeier and her wake surfing dog Chunky, along with Tige Boats and ATX Surf Boats, two premium Texas-based wake boat brands, to explore the laid-back Texas lake life including Lake Travis, Lake Austin and Lady Bird Lake. The gang does some wake surfing, visits boat up restaurants and checks out the famed bats under the Congress Avenue Bridge along the Colorado River. Viewers also learn about the history of the waterways throughout the region, from Dallas down to San Antonio.

So much other unique to Texas boating that should have been showcased like our super shallow saltwater fishing, incredible offshore fishing, and don’t forget Lake Sam Rayburn which is the number 1 bass fishing lake in the US.

Hey Sean - thanks for watching! you should stay tuned for our coastal Texas episode coming soon in which we explore some of the coastal areas including some of the things you mentioned. We chase tankers to surf their wakes, sail around the Gulf from Houston, explore the port of Galveston and some historic boat builders in Port Aransas as well as wake surf on another big Lake outside of Houston. We already filmed it and are editing it now! Of course we can’t fit everything into one episode, so we will always come back for more!!
