About the series:
What does it take to bridge the divide between generations, especially between grandparents and their grandchildren ? Can they pass on the culture and knowledge that define who they are and narrow the yawning chasm between them ? Four teenagers and their grandparents are challenged to take on projects that matter to them. But as personalities clash and tempers fly, can they confront their differences or will they become more alienated than ever before.
This is so sweet. The grandma actually has zero interest in being eco-friendly, but she did all that just for the love of her grandchild.
aHopefulDream one more like till 1k
She's quite smart for her age.
The school she in must be amazing.
It took me 30 years to love the environment and spend more time with my love one.
I start small by using old newspaper for my trash bin. I just fold it and turn it into a bag lol.
I also use half the toilet water only or less by controlling by the toilet handle. The toilet just need a few water to generate a wave and i let go of the handle. Gravity will do the rest.
It take practice so you won't use to much force and push the handle all the way down.
Grandma: "So your problem not my problem"
Emma:TRIGGERED
Emma was like your profile pic
G A R D E N I A yes and no
Ngl i was pretty triggered too.
Five hundredth
Grandma is a savage.
emma's last sentence left a heavy impression on me. she's 15 and says "our time on this earth is limited, so we should make the best of what we have." i believe this is how she views the environmental problems as well. she's making full use of her existence here to do what she can for the environment. I really find her amazing
You talk like a history PEE format lmao
IM CRYING
Because her father has soya bean shop she knows how much waste they're producing per day 🤪🤪🤪😜
"So your problem.. Not my problem.."
SAVAGE GRANDMA 2018😂😂
What my mom says..
I laughed at that for like the whole video🤣
SAVAGE!!!
Savage
Or MEAN XD
cute the way she said it
Literally my family
i like the way she speaks, i think it's quite charming. all the best with the green effort, emma and grandma mildred. it's a worthy endeavour. :)
i love this video, and how it shows the generational differences between emma and her grandma, mildred. she is so willing to take interest in what her granddaughter is doing for the environment and wants to be closer to her. that's amazing. it's also really true that the older generation don't bother themselves with recycling as well, and that's why it's time for the younger generation to step in and make that change. i love emma, she's 15 and already knows clearly what she wants to do- helping the environment, and does whatever she can to fulfill that mission. she, is an example of a millenial who is building the future of the world. so inspiring and honest to watch. environmental problems are real and we all need to do our part.
The first converstation in the begining the grandma was kind of savage..........
"Your problem not my problem.."😂😂😂
Can we have all these refillable items in all the major local supermarket... unpackt is all the way in the north. It’s tough to head there all the time to get our refills... :( other countries already have these unnecessary packaging opt out. Look at how excessive our packaging is just for grapes, nuts. I would love to bring my own container...
Ronald Toh if you live in central, there is a similar shop in beauty world which does most of the same just take downtown line to beauty world

I love the way how this ahma willing to change the traditional mindset. Respect her a lot!
I saw it on tv yestarday and yestarday i got a assembly sayin we need to have zero waste
This girl is an old soul. So young and has to teach adults how to care of the planet they have.
0:16 she looked so triggered🤣
I hope Emma and her grandmother are able to spend more time together! This video was so heartwarming ❤️
Singapore is such a Unique country in Asia. A lo of us Europeans (whites) look as Singapore as a place to do business and trade. BUT if you look at all of the nations around ASEAN Thailand, Indonesian, they are so much more satisfied and happy with life than the average Singaporean. I think SNG is an example that GDP doesn't equate to happiness and that the social elements are more integral at the end of the day. When I look at SNG I see a society that is afraid of risk and ''stepping outside'' the box.
Nice essay
I love the part about stainless steel straws and reusable mugs at the restaurant at the end. Every little bit helps our planet, it’s a collective effort 😀😀
The title should be: Grandma being savage to her grandchild for 5:43 mins
Maturity beyond her age.
A little way of recycling with plastic bags: *if u have too much plastic bags use them as ur recycling bag after it’s full take another one and recycle the bag u used*
So proud of Emma and Mildred! The challenge seemed to bring them much closer together, and I learned quite a lot from their journey. Seeing them bond really made my heart warm, keep up the good work!!
My my! U got such a wonderful channel here. I started with the cuteness of kids doing errands now this lovely grandma warmed up my heart. U asian people now how to do things well. Love from morocco.
Red Dot Series and CNA never fails to amaze me! Bravo..
7 day = a lot leh
2035 = still have long time, your problem not my one
奶奶common sense
Both does not mean that
You mean 婆婆?丶
I love the deep messages this story had
Grandma is love! Grandma is life!
She's quite smart for her age.
The school shes is Kool.
It took me 30 years to love the environment and spend more time with my love one.
I start small by using old newspaper for my trash bin. I just fold it and turn it into a bag lol.
I also use half the toilet water or less by controlling the toilet handle. The toilet just need a few water to generate a wave and i let go of the handle. Gravity will do the rest.
It take practice because you don't want to use to much force by pushing the handle all the way down.
P. S it's quite hard to master because you need patience and a lot of dexterity using your left hand.
2 fingers on the side of the tank , 2 fingers on the handle and using your thumb as equalizer.
It's like arm wrestling for your 2 vs 2 fingers.
I'm happy how her grandma accepted the fact that they're recycling so fast, & I'm proud of Emma!! 👍
"So your problem, not my problem"
🤣🤣🤣 old people and little kids pull no punches lol
Awww... when the grandma started recycling and getting metal straws and reusable cups my heart melted
Wow her English is so good I’m proud
If only I could get my grandmother to recycle too! She doesn’t understand a thing about it but I think my mum is doing a great job sorting everything out. Loved this video! The grandmother was so keen and interested :) glad that they’ve got to spend more time together!
Perhaps you could think of a challenge for your granny like Emma did to help her understand. Nothing is completely impossible if you just try.
Hg Lim it may be difficult to do so as we do not live in the same country. I can’t even FaceTime with her because she’s very hard of hearing and cannot hear me so I think even explaining what recycling is wouldn’t work. Also, she can’t even remember the days of the week and the dates, I doubt she will be able to complete a challenge as such. I think all we (my mum) can do now is rummage through the bin to sort it out herself. :/
awwwwwwww i love this episode due to the bonding
“So your problem , Not my problem.”
*Thug life grandma. Lmao.*
After watching the video, I am happy that Emma and her grandma got closer together. However, I just cant help but to feel little sad for Emma's grandmother. Why is she the only one that is making the changes. She is speaking in English, she is trying her best to go green. How about Emma? Does she knows what her grandma likes? Does she even try to speak in mandarin/dialect to her grandma? I am not too sure if she does all these off-screen, but I just hope that all grandchildren will also try to get to know their grandparents better. It is the same for all relationships. It takes 2 hands to clap.
Ong JY She doesn't seem too sincere about spending time with her grandma either. Kind of like "it's just for the video"
1:42 How....IMPOSSIBRU
You see impossibru is Chinese meme
My ahma will say I siao LOL
Big respect to the grandma for changing her thinking though
My whole family is like that,Sad thing is I always try to get them to be zero waste not for me but for everybody, for future generations..but my family doesn't care about me to do all this stuff, like this grandma, she wanted to get close to her grandaughter and that's cute
I think the most important lesson learnt here is to treasure the people you love ❤
I know her from Instagram and this is so cute! It reminds me of my family that slowly changing their lifestyle into more eco friendly lifestyle
Love can make you do things which you can never think of. Apart from that i believe this is how Singapore is keeping their country clean.
Aww...i love this.. good job emma and mildred! 😊👍
"So your problem not my problem."
