😉Think there's a slight variation in Quiet Luxury vs Old Money. The former is more strictly neutral, tonal & more earthy. It leans modern classic. While the latter group goes classic. They fully embrace those few brights mentioned here〰️kelly green, royal blue, cobalt, raspberry. They also like their share of pastel in polos & button ups〰️pink, baby blue, & butter yellow. A Short on Ralph Laurens Store offerings popped up in my algorithm the other day. It was NOT all dreary neutrals. They showcased some soft, pretty colors & bright white w/a scattering of chambray & different types of light denim. They also had several summery floral garments on display. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
I completely agree. We can be classy, elegant wearing colors. Is much more the way you are than the clothes that you are wearing. You just need to know how to combine colors.

I like how princess Catherine carries off sooo many colours very elegantly. It need not always be beige, black, white, brown and navy. I think the key is balance and tones of the colours
Real quiet luxury, i e. People who have always been rich and don't need to brag, is far tattier than this. And way more traditional. Not so sleek. This looks lovely, but this is way more effort than truly wealthy people take
Your tips have been a great help on building my "adult wardrobe", coming from graphic/band tees + skinny jeans to these more elegant refined set. Thank you!
I love this look but I always called it classic styling! I love it as I often get quickly tired of bold prints from one season to the next and hate the fact that I am then donating to charity box. My only consolation is that I buy quality so I do donate rather than fast fashion which goes into landfill which is even worse buying 💕 love the outfits Lydia you always look so chic to me 🙏
FYI, many donated cloths end up in landfills as well, because there‘s a lot of low quality clothing that get donated and there‘s more than they need. Fabrics with a high natural fiber content can usually get reused as cleaning cloths, but plasticy clothing lands in landfills frequently.
@@olderuglierandwiser as I work in very expensive high end fashion and have to constantly wear what we sell as part of our contract as you understand I end up with far more fashion from one season to the next do the obvious choice is friends family or donate as one can only wear so much season to season and if you have to keep up with the latest fashion trends as part of your job that’s why I donate. And the brand has always been timeless quality even when boho was the go we were always cashmere wool silk cotton linen etc 🙏
I live in Miami, where the fashion is basically the opposite of this. However, this is more me - so I tweak it: lots of organic cotton and linen so I can breathe in the heat, light and flowy, still the same color scheme with some beautiful classic shades of blues and mustards and pinks (it's really colorful here, can't ignore color altogether). If I lived in a colder climate, I'd be ALL over the leather and cashmere!
🤫Truly tips to Timeless Dressing w/emphasis on Old Money Style. Basically, a classic closet that looks carefully collected & curated through the ages... 😊Modified Lydia's #7: Neutrals favored. Discreet tonal dressing. More subtle about color. 🤨 Even their brights wouldn't DARE be 🎉 flashy 🎉. Of course, they wear their clothes with poise, polish & confidence😁 vs the clothes wearing (or overwhelming) 'em😔. 🧐The idea being you're so secure in your style, quality, suitability, self-worth, & place in the world 🌐 that you don't feel the need to show off. 😉At least that's how I interpret it. 🙌 Blessings... 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
These clothes are my worst nightmare: Impersonal, basic, beige, make you look like a random arrogant posh person, have zero creativity, zero actual design, make you look older... why are people so obsessed with basic clothes? The only reason they look good on you is because you are a normative person and everything looks good on you.
Let me be frank ...if you have a wheatish complexion you can't wear dull colours and be invisible ...if you are wheatish in complexion go for bright colours and look happy and confident😊
Love this! Can you do one for Autumn and Winter wear? Looking for a watch so would love a video of different watches, day or night. Keep up the good work Lydia!
Love everything except for "no bright colors". Have stick to these rules for so long, only wearing neutrals until i discovered my love for bright pink when the movie barbie came up haha. I just now discovered that bright colors look good on my skin, and that the muted/ashy colors i used to wear before just washes me out. Now all my peers often see me wearing bright pink 😅
The 7th outfit ( white shirt and shorts with tan blazer and slingback ) is lovely. But the previous one, denim shorts with black kitten heels and black blazer was huge no no for me… Reminded me some of the wrongly dressed moms in the 80’s and 90’s - and I believe, the only one, who can safely and elegantly can wear this would be Lady Diana. If she might be more stylish! 😜😉😆
love, love the quiet luxury trend, I don't care if this will go away, I'll stick with it for as long as I can. It's good for my wallet and the planet, I hate the fast fashion brands and all the flashy trends they come up with ONLY Tto encourage consumerism so they could make more money.
I love colour and patterns. I think thsts what missing from luxury and wealthy people. They cna come across misrrable coz they wear the same two colours and no patterns 😭 but then thats onky western luxury. Eastern luxury has a lot of wealthy fabrics, patterns and colours..
“No bright colours” that’s why I could never fully commit to quiet luxury 😂
For real! I have been super into bright colors lately so I just take silhouette inspiration from her but then wear whatever color I want

love your style, understated yet classy and sophisticated. Might try this but I love my colors too much. Emerald green & cobalt blue are life!! :-)
I love raspberry and royal blue ❤
I completely agree. We can be classy, elegant wearing colors. Is much more the way you are than the clothes that you are wearing. You just need to know how to combine colors.
She looks very nice no doubt but not fun , how can anyone get dressed almost everyday mostly in neutral colors .

Those sandals are beautiful ❤
Dressed like this most of my life. Always loved French fashion growing up and tried to follow that. Thank you for sharing this, love it 💛
Always loved this style. Timeless elegance ❤

It feels you're describing your own style and make it the norm!
Well she IS quiet luxury embodiment so..

Thank you

Why would you be donating such quality if fashion isn't a deciding factor

Since you are slim everything looks good
Exactly , that’s what I think too
Right? It’s also 87 degrees everywhere, until I get my hormones checked out. 🤣
Beautiful pieces of clothing!❤️❤️❤️
You look great 👍.... So elegant ❤.
Wonderdul. Thank you for creating these great videos
You are welcome
Where did you buy your white trousers from please, they look silk and really nice! Thanks x
They’re gorgeous but they’re $300 ☹️
I loved the slightly puffed skirt with the black tinic
Timeless classic.❤
Love the blazer and heels look with loose denim shorts ❤
So elegant and classic!!
Love these choices.
The long blazer with shorts is more of a social media influencer thing than something people actually wear.

この方のセンスが大好きでいつも見てます🤍🤎タキマキみたくお洒落で、すごく参考になる♪
Great video ❤
"Nothing overly baggy"...then comes outfit #4...
That's actually very useful.
Glad that you're no longer wearing trousers that are dragging on the floor. 👍
Wait till autumn 😂
Love all these outfits Lydia!
How do you always know what we need information wise each week 😂
#7 is incorrect. There are plenty of wealthy socialites who wear bright colours. And the colour may not translate as “loud” all the time.

@@teresacarle294Wow!Very well said!Super Duper 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 It explains so well about quiet luxury!
I love it but I struggle it’s how my mum dresses.
Gorgeous watch!
I LOVE THE CLEAN AND CLASSIC LOOKS. ❤
She has all the links for the clothing in the long form video. 😊
I like the black top trimmed with white...who makes that top? I like all your outfits those never to out of style!
I'm late, but Zara, H&M & Cos all have this style vest.
nice outfits
ALL of these outfits 😍
These clothes are my worst nightmare: Impersonal, basic, beige, make you look like a random arrogant posh person, have zero creativity, zero actual design, make you look older...

❤
You make it look effortless!
My favourites are cardigans and sweaters in cashmere and angora ❤❤
Great advices! Thank you
The first outfit, love the pants!!!
love the styles!

Don’t forget the bored look on your face….

Great list. No logos is easy, too expensive. Blessings
Add some red lips to these looks and BAM 💋 you've got yourself a tomato girl❤️
No bright colors 💋
😅 high I know, tomato girl is a trend this summer 😂 I just thought I'd add that lol, I love your content, keep it coming ❤

Looks like LilySilk to me, hope this helps
Make a video on watches for different looks
Love everything
I have always loved this style of dress, I call it the “Diane Keaton” style lol 😍😁
Beautiful ❤
Super!!!!!
I love the monochromatic look. It always looks sophisticated
Everyone is dressing like this nowadays, with the same basic pieces, no individuality, that I actually think it looks cheap
This is genius
Love a simple silhouette
Fabulous ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Like how you do a condensed version of a long format! Great for a quick recap… just in case anyone missed the latter! 🫶🏻🫶🏻💓💓
I love the different clothes that you’re presenting, is it possible to get the brands behind the different clothes ?
Beautiful
I love this❤❤

Jorts with a blazer and a low heel should be a criminal offense 😂
Where is the white midi skirt from? It's beautiful
❤❤❤❤❤
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I would love it if you could post the LTK link directly in the comment feed. Make's life easier. Love the styles.
Love a red blouse though, will always have a red blouse or blazer
love it .
Love!! ❤
❤❤
This is helpful ❤
I need those pants
1st rule. Be slender. Everything looks good ✅
Fine? But after a while it’s sooo Boring. Where are the statement pieces? Your own whimsy? Your personality ??
Lovely 🤩 where did you got the white trousers ?
Красивая девушка!❤
Thank you ❤
Not sure if any of these look quiet luxury.
But it is giving clean french chic
Love this video no labels which I do not like at all
#1 is quality kitchen & heavy fabric (the fabric should not be thin and see-through)
love, love the quiet luxury trend, I don't care if this will go away, I'll stick with it for as long as I can. It's good for my wallet and the planet, I hate the fast fashion brands and all the flashy trends they come up with ONLY Tto encourage consumerism so they could make more money.
You look like a detective
Good idea, for a perfect figure 😢
Please tell where the first white trousers are from? 😊
I love colour and patterns. I think thsts what missing from luxury and wealthy people. They cna come across misrrable coz they wear the same two colours and no patterns 😭 but then thats onky western luxury. Eastern luxury has a lot of wealthy fabrics, patterns and colours..
Thanks for describing me 😁😁😁
But I still feel poor because I take the public trans and I don't drive, lol!!!
8: invest in a good iron or steamer.
Hi, Where đi u get your blazer ? You look stunning
Las sandalias son hermosas.
Where to get the beautiful gathered white skirt?
They all 😎👍👍👍👏👏😉❤
Where is the last blazer from?
