This can take many forms, including physically resisting or attempting to physically resist an officer, refusing to comply with an officer’s lawful orders, or providing false information to an officer.
According to the law, an individual may be charged with obstructing a police officer without the use of physical force. Many state laws only indicate that an individual may be charged when they resist or obstruct a law enforcement officer who is on the job.
Some examples of obstruction of a police officer include:
Willfully obstructing a police officer in the execution of their duty
Resisting or attempting to resist an officer’s lawful orders

Inevitably he had to fall on his sword when he eventually couldn't bend any more and got scapegoated for not being politically-correct-enough. It's obvious that the policy of the train company is not to question a certain demographic, in order to avoid the race baiting card being thrown... despite the law being to show a ticket or buy one in order to continue your journey.

This a a common ploy of some black people; to arouse suspicion when they've done nothing wrong and then shout racism when they are confronted. I remember a poor girl in the States had her life ruined. A black man entered the block of flats where she lived in a suspicious way. He dodged through the door when she opened it for herself with her key. She questioned his right to be there
and followed him as he went in the lift, asking him for proof. He filmed her and continued to act suspiciously. Turns out he had every right to be there as he owned a flat there. Of course you or I would say "Hi, I'm John I'm your new neighbour; just moved in to no 21" or whatever. But he saw an opportunity to be the victim and milked it. The usual suspects created a Twitter storm, targeted the firm where she worked, who immediately sacked her. We live in toxic times.

That girl took a huge chance even getting on the elevator with a suspicious stranger. If he was up to no good she could have been robbed and killed.

I wouldn't be a police officer today if the salary was £250,000 a year. The Police Federation ought to be shouting from the rooftops about this case.

Predictable behaviour. The Ticket Inspector was on shaky ground asking to see proof of payment, this is clearly deemed to be racially driven! This has to be challenged by an overtly aggressive response from the victim to protect ethnic sensibilities. The ticket guy has obviously not completed the appropriate training and is not on message. It's amazing the Police didn't arrest him for a hate crime. Simple. Follow certain rules for protected demographics and dismiss any thoughts of doing your job fairly and sensibly and everything will be fine! We are living in post George Floyd times! Crazy days.
