    No offense to the delta guy but another reason duck hunter numbers have declined is expense. It is expensive to duck hunt. Decoys alone are ungodly high. And for some reason the less the decoy companies sell the higher their price goes to compensate, which actually has a negative effect because less people are going to buy the product because of cost. It's a cycle. Not to mention the fact that a stamp went from $15 in 2014 to $25 in 2015!

    Why you all hating its waterfowl hunting the birds decide weather or not to decoy it's not like deer season where the same buck will be in the same area. These birds move constantly. Good job on snow goose hunt thow

    when did this hunt take place? trying to figure out a date to head to north dakota. thinking end of october first week of november. think that would be good?

    • @sg255010
      @sg255010 Před 9 lety

      Steven Tacey Hell NO! If your lucky it would be good. By End of Oct it will be froze out in ND. You need to plan for 2nd week of OCT, you could go earlier but I believe first week is residents only. Don't expect trophy birds to be taken, its just to early for that beautiful plumage but the numbers of birds you will see will blow your mind! Do more research you will be ok. Good luck

    • @Twistedmittenloft
      @Twistedmittenloft Před 9 lety

      Damn!!! So I should go 3rd week of October?

    • @sg255010
      @sg255010 Před 9 lety

      Steven Tacey If going for only a week that would be ideal. Get ready to put your work in, lots of scouting, lots of competition, and lots of door knocking. But well worth it when you get into em! Bring a good cook too, you will be eating a lot of waterfowl LOL

    • @mikeberman95
      @mikeberman95 Před 9 lety

    • @zimks
      @zimks Před 9 lety

      +Steven TaceyI always go third to last weekend of october and always really great hunting! If you are lucky and a cold front pushes through right before you get there a bunch of migrators will push through from the north and then hunting is really good! don't listen to these guys hunting in ND can be awesome October or even in november

      I love using a 20ga for ducks but here where I am 20ga cost more than 12ga so I shoot 12ga mostly. 20ga kills them great tho and are more fun in my opinion.

    • @alyssahull728
      @alyssahull728 Před 7 lety

      For ducks and lesser geese under 40 yards only. I wouldn't recommend a 20 ga for Canadas. You would be handicapped at 35 yards max on a full choke. I've used 3 inch Hevi Shot in my 20 bore and ended up chasing more geese than I would like. The 20 bore just can't handle the pressures to get the pellets moving at a fast enough pace to have much range. A 12 gauge's weight will soak up the recoil of a 2 3/4" waterfowl load, whereas 20 gauges are too light to soak up the heavy 1 1/4oz loads and end up having even more recoil.

    I don't mean to hate, but with the resources y'all have, I have never seen such a poor attempt at trying to kill birds. The lack of knowledge is incredible. I mean it's North Dakota...and y'all didn't limit out once.

    • @TheGrindWaterfowlTV
      @TheGrindWaterfowlTV  Před 8 lety +9

      Hunting is hunting and that's what we show, the temperature dropped immensely over night and froze out the small potholes. We show hunting success or not. Not to mention these were adult snow geese with mouth calls, there's a reason the average age of a snow is 13.
