  • Tracking of vehicles is a basic task for DataFromSky in the field of traffic monitoring. This amazing shot has been captured by Aerial Innovations - our new partner for aerial traffic surveys in Cayman Islands.
    This video was recoded using our DataFromSky viewer. Recently we have released FLOW a super smart real time one traffic framework for all tasks.

    @datasky Here the vehicle is moving to the curved path, In that case, bounding boxes of each vehicle move in a straight line direction or not, while turning the curve?

    Amazing... How did this speed is getting calculated? How is this done?

      The footage is georeferenced - based on specific WGS coordinates of points in the footage we can then calculate the speeds of vehicles.

    Good work.
    I have one more doubt, doubt is missing detection and tracking? When a vehicle's detection disappears and then later reappears with a new ID.. how can solve it?

      Hi. This version of the neural network is 4 years old. We currently have a newer more powerful version where this issue is unlikely to happen. The analysis quality is also very dependant on the detection angle and resolutions. We can provide a 100% analysis upon request and even pinpoint accurate data for autonomous vehicle training when needed.

      @@vinayarajvs8458 If you mean vehicle exiting and reentering the monitored section, then the best solution is to film a bigger area. You can also use License plate detection - whing allows you to recognize the same car multiple times. (but this requires different angles)

    can you change the camera to pi camera?

      You can record the footage from any camera if you fulfill these requirements for DRONE: intercom.help/datafromsky/en/articles/3477669-how-to-record-video-using-drone for CCTV camera: intercom.help/datafromsky/en/articles/3453267-how-to-set-up-fixed-cctv-cameras-for-video-analytics. That is for TrafficSurvey offline analysis. For real-time processing - camera with Raspberry PI processor does not have enough computing power to run the FLOW analytics.
