My key takeaway from your commentary was that "it's not worth the extra money for the dirt bike enthusiast that I am".
I had a 2023 XC-W and now have this bike. Always wanted to have the bling parts but I make too much per hour to spend my time swapping out all those parts. Here, it's done for me, looks awesome and I don't feel I have to mess with it until I wear out or break something. It's totally worth it for me but that's based a lot on that I wanted a bike that looks like this out of the box stock but I get to spend my time with family, riding or working vs building. I do understand the handguards aren't great but mine will be on until they're trashed and then something better will go on. In the pacific NW woods trails I also mostly run the softer map and in our central high deserts I run the more aggressive green. Makes a difference for me and my ability and adds for later tunability. I have heard rumors but can't confirm, you'd probably know as well as anyone, the suspension on this bike is tuned differently than the stock bike from back to back ride comparisons. Seems a bit far fetched. Love mine with absolutely no regrets. It gets a lot of positive attention. BTW, I went with the black seat instead and it looks sick. Love the grip and feel in the rain, mud and pulling Hardenduro moves.

My situation is very similar, love the style, the bike is absolutely dialed for the PNW riding we do out here in northern idaho and I have no regrets about getting the bike that comes with the bull of the jazz done for ya. I got mine for 12.6 with a carbon pipe guard and was definitely worth it! Rip on!

Hi Kyke, massive fan. I do have a few comments to make, the grippy seat is in my opinion worth it, the reason I say that is because the bike is made for hard enduro which is alot of crawling and what happens is when you are on a steep hill doing switch backs or whatever you tend to find yourself slipping off the back even when you are holding on for dear life and gripping with legs. Anything this is the mapping switch is very helpful and ktm would put it on there for no reason, it's useful in very low traction conditions and you want the slowest possible power delivery due to poor traction and to prevent tyre slippage.

Great video Kyle, this is really is how the riders / enthusiasts are, and that is we all have an opinion, of what works for us, and respectably you voiced your opinion, and you are and were honest about it, that to me is very cool. I know myself included, we all consider the financial end of it. I know for me being a rider and Fan of TM Racing bikes, I would buy a new TM over any brand out there, just look at the stock options on a TM, compared to stock options and factory options on many of the bikes, years ago people would complain and say TM's are so expensive, well I can tell you, when I worked for the TM Importer, back in 05-06, we never had a TM Enduro 300 even with the exchange rate of the Euro, and that was crazy! Still never came close to the cost of KTM Hard Enduro...The only downside to the TM here in the USA, is the resale value. To be honest with you, dirt bikes have come a long ways for sure, but it just seems they keep getting more and more expensive, Fuel Injected, Electric start ECT now a days a new bike OTD tax title license dealer fees ect is over 10K to 12K and really I know for myself, I look at the latest models of all bikes, and I ask what is really changing, so much, that it justifies buying a new dirt bike, for some its a hard pill to swallow, for others it is not....I would like to take this time wish everyone luck in Jan 15th' drawing for the KTM bikes Kyle is giving away, and Welcome to the New Year.

Multiple times you say the add ons look super cool, that alone is reason to pay the extra. The wheels alone are worth the spend as it’s a practical upgrade. You go the lower cost option and you still end up upgrading graphics and parts, it’s what riders do and end up paying more.
Map switch makes a big difference, soft map is awesome on crawl and hill climbs, the hard map is awesome on open trails where speed kicks in and test their is a power band. A nociable difference between the maps, kind of like going from TPI to old Carb engine response and it’s instant at a push of the button.
You can move your controls in, I have no issue doing it on my bike, unless you running your clutch and brake at 45degrees, it’s no issue at all. The seat is awesome, best I’ve had, and works real well in wet, very grippy vs stock. You did not mention the hard endure has solid rear disc brake and floating front. The rims are also specked for higher impact, stronger and lighter. The frame is orange vs black on the std.

The impact has to go somewhere. It’s either denting the pipe or stressing the mounting. Dents are a fairly easy fix with the correct tools. There’s no win-win with that one except maybe a pipe that doesn’t hang down so low or, god forbid, a 4 stroke… Now I must repent for even mentioning such blasphemy.

Hey Kyle, I've been doing some extensive research on the 300 XC-W, I have never owned a 2 stroke, but I do have some seat time on a 98' CR 250. My last bike was a 2015 yz250fx and i liked that bike a lot. I liked the low end power and the 4 stroke engine. I only ride single track and I am comparing the 2024 350 XW-F and the 300 XC-W. Do you have any insight between the two or recommendations to point me in the right direction, I haven't rode either. I hope this comment reaches you, I am looking forward to your advice.
    Kind regards,
    Brad

    • @onthethrottle7104

I keep hearing guys say, "at the price these bikes are"...but if you think about what you're getting for $10K, which now days isn't much, it's an absolute beast of a bike. Also, there is money that has to be made by the dealer, there is shipping costs, there is all kinds of other costs before you add up just the price for the bike alone, so dollar for dollar it is the best bang for your buck. Dealers probably make about $1,200 - then sales guys probably make $250, then shipping these is about $400 (KTM price). So when you strip that off of $10,000 you're at $8,150. You can buy a 2024 300 XC for $9,000 all day long and if you wait for end of year you can get them for $8,000. So strip the dealer and shipping costs off of one of those and you're at $6,150. I just don't get where you guys come up with "these bikes are so expensive."

99.9 percent of people buying this model don't care about the extra cost, they want it because it's a special edition and looks custom built, the wheels and orange frame give it a custom look that is quite noticeable, sure you could easily do all that stuff yourself, which is what I would do but a lot of people don't work on or build bikes like I do and cost is not really an issue then for them it's worth it
