Thanks for that comment Roger. I’m getting on now, and have been to school with, and worked with, folk of many cultures, colours, creeds etc etc, with good experiences all round. Now I’m being force fed via the media (in advertising especially) that the cultural mix portrayed ain’t what I recognise!

I'm only 26 and i can see how much things have changed ust in my lifetime. When i was at college in 2012 many of the woke trends of today were non-existent or in their infancy. As a history buff, to see the perversion of history taught in schools and shown in mainstream entertainment disgusts me. History Debunked is a great channel and it's nice to see you interviewing Simon here.
I wish the young in general would see as clearly as you do at such a young age.

A while ago I visited London to buy as many 2nd hand books as possible.
And I wandered the Center and some shopping-malls; at one moment it hit me that I was the only white person in that region of the City... And I shivered.
Not that I hate nonwhites, but that I saw NO whites at all in the heart of the British Empire/Commonwealth ...
I hope for a rebirth, but the way it goes..., God help us all !
If you know your stuff and you're comfortable in front of a camera; get on tik tok and make simple videos about history topics that are misrepresented, we need more voices of reason and ones that speak objective truths, especially to younger audiences!
I'm 27 and its such a drastic change since 2012, if you were trans and in college then you'd get beaten. Now its praised and the kids accept it, it just wasn't a thing back then. I was in Amsterdam a few months ago and it was more like Libya than Netherlands; barely any dutch people.

A good friend of mine went through teacher training about ten years ago. A decent, patriotic, right leaning libertarian, he found the whole experience deeply difficult. He said he simply had to keep his head down, mouth the platitudes and muddle through.
As someone similar a patriotic right leaning libertarian I find my experience similar for MOST things.
Going to college, job training, even when I tried to volunteer for the big brother big sister program they basically made me sit through "orientation" which was basically a zoom session with some awkward college student reading off CRT (critical race theory) talking points. It had little to do with child safety and was mostly about race.
I find myself dropping out of most things and really find myself less likely to go to educational.programs, churches and more because of this CRT and PC woke stuff.
It goes against everything i believe in but iseverywhere. Its in TV shows. It's in any new music or.modern book. It's even in some video games. It gets fucking annoying. I feel like Winston in 1984 .

Wonderful to see Simon here on New Culture Forum, Interesting to hear that Simon home schooled his daughter, I did the same with both my daughters , we had a wonderful time,a wonderful fulfilled life and now have two, well educated, happy adults

Thank you for reminding me about Pat Condell. The iconclast I also used to listen to although I am follower of a friend of his Chris Dangerfield who used to do collab streams together. I am from Trinidad and Tobago, of East Indian heritage, my ancestors were indentured labourers, and I definitely support many, if not most, of Simon's perspectives on his channel. Judging from someone who lives in the Caribbean. Simon seems to understand the undertones of Caribbean culture more than those who live here dare to express. People seem to feel that if they deny certain facts it will change reality somehow.

I stumbled upon Simon's channel one day, and I have never looked back. He is factual, and that normally entails a certain degree of shock in what he reveals. Simon tells you clearly that in the room is a very big elephant and some people won't like his honesty.
Actually, the problem is that people equate "saying what I also think" with honesty.

He's a big fan of ignoring sources that fail to support his position (which is usually most of them). David Irving provides plenty of references, too. Doesn't make him any less of a liar.

L KS: Don't forget Dev Patel playing David Copperfield. I read an interview Dev Patel gave about him playing a Charles Dickens' character and what he said was that people who looked the same as him, i.e. Indian, they'd feel more connected to Dickens because of him playing the role. He also said it was great to be in a London of Dickens' time which looked like the London he grew up in. Wishful thinking on Mr Patel's part.

The idea England has no identity was only brought up in the last decade or so to whittle away a sense of identity. England has been around for over a thousand years, and is steeped in culture, history and an English people.
Mr Webb is right about multiculturalism in the media. When I see a period drama with a black character who almost certainly wouldn't have been there, or all the advertising featuring ethnic minorities, irrespective of the product, I just feel I'm being manipulated, and it's literally a turn-off. I look forward to his book.

When watching period dramas it's nice to sink into the era but black faces make it impossible, so I just don't watch them anymore.

….an odd thing indeed. I had my first Chinese takeaway when I went to visit my brother in Leeds in 1980. I grew up in Peterborough, hardly some ‘rural village’. There may may have been those things available, but not commonly taken. This fact doesn’t make my upbringing inherently racist, just reflective of the vast majority of folk of my age.

History Debunked should be required watching for all schoolchildren (and their teachers).
Especially the teachers! And not just the History teachers. Woke science teaching in schools seems to parallel the problems Simon highlights in History. Both subjects should be heavily based on fact, but are now more to do with agenda and sending out 'messages'.

I have just realised there is something very odd about Britain’s change to a multiracial society,apart from the fact that we were never asked about it. It is a really major change, a really big story, yet I am not aware that the BBC has run a single news item about it, or the friction it is causing, or the views of the real British, or any aspect of it. It has all been handled to get us quietly used to it. Bit I don’t like it, and I will never get used to,it!

I watched a video about the Mary Rose recently here on CZcams. It quickly turned out that the whole point of the video was to prove that several crew members were of foreign origin - including African - thus proving that Tudor Britain was fully multi-cultural. The conclusion was that there were no Africans, buy maybe a few Europeans. No surprises there, but there is an obsession with certain people (and the BBC) to try to show that Britain has always been multi-cultural.

I remember a black man walking down the road in a Lincolnshire town in the 1980's and everyone stopped and stared at him. They had only ever seen a black person in films before then.
Same happened in Folkestone in the late 70’s.

I've been watching Simons History Debunked for a couple of years, always balanced, well observed and interesting. Regarding the relentless multicultural advertising and TV programmes. I think it's due to the advertising agencies being based in London or other big cities where it's much more common, move out into the country and it bears no resemblance to the way we live.

My non-British, non-white wife saw a few episodes of Bridgerton on TV. She was very confused why there were so many black people shown in the historical period. I had to try and explain the convoluted reasons about the UK these days and why they feel they need to insert black people into depictions of history. She felt the whole thing was ridiculous and didn't watch it again.
