  • A sequence from Fugue Machine on the iPad is sent to Ableton Live over USB MIDI through the connectivity audio 4c interface. This sequence plays a synth from Slate & Ash Auras in Kontakt. At the same time, these notes trigger chords in Audiomodern Chrodjam to play Native Instruments Noire Piano. The beat is played by Audiomodern Playbeat.
LFOs modulate the amount of audio from the piano sent to a reverse delay and beat repeat audio effect rack on a separate send channel in Live. Soundtoys tremolator set to different speeds slowly adjusts volume of all tracks.

An iPad outputting midi, a system as old as the hills, is just wonderful to me

That’s super dope! 🤍 Is the Iconnectivity interface able to send in/out audio from iPad to Ableton and viceversa?

Thanks! Yes, it can. Bidirectional audio and midi between any 2 computers, phones or tablets.
