- Marooned is a grammy winner instrumental track on The Division Bell and it's one of the hardest solos to cover properly. I hope I did a good job. I love the tone I got here. I needed to use some post eq, but that's only because whammy soaks up a lot of low frequencies and I need to balance that. Pink Floyd have been my favorite band for 25 years and I've never heard a cover of Marooned played so authenticity and emotionally

Very nice cover of one of the best Pink Floyd songs. Like in Echoes and Shine on you, one can perceive the magic between David Gilmour and Richard Wright. With this version of Marooned you enter in the Olympus with @EdoardoScordo and @heresguitar

Dude, I swear god, this is probably the most rhythmically perfect cover I’ve ever heard. Almost all of guitarists I’ve watched so far are either struggling or failing miserably with fitting the notes’ lengths’ into the bars. Especially in the beginning with no solid rhythm from the drums.

Best Marooned cover I've seen so far, but I'm still waiting for one with a super-accurate rendition of the woozy wobbly bit at 3:36. It's always been my favourite part of this solo, but despite my efforts I've never been able to get it quite right. 😬

Great playing but for this to be really useful you should show either a picture-in-picture or some kind of graphic what the whammy pedal is doing as that is such an integral part of this track kinda like Steve Vai's Touching Tongues. If you don't understand the way he used the whammy in it you ain't playing it, end of
Hello brother, after a long time looking for the backingtrack of marooned version live strat pack 50th anniversary and without achieving results, I started using some editing programs and it took me 18 exhausting hours of editing until I was able to make the backingtrack. I would like to share the backingtrack with you and If you can make a video tutorial on the configuration and tone of that beautiful version, a hug.

Musty, i have a doubt... ive been trying to read some tabs like marooned and high hopes, and i see these big fret numbers like 30, 34 , 27 and so on... i suppose its only achievable with the whammy pedal right ? Could you make a tutorial of this ? Thank you

@@mustyguitar but i mean, when those big numbers appear on the tab, that means you have to use the whammy pedal in order to get there right ?
@@JorgeCampos12345 yeah, but think about it, when you use whammy, you don't need to use those big numbers. I mean, when you pick the 7th and use whammy you play 19th. But the right way to tab is to say 7th with whammy, not 19th.
Another one, on 19th fret, you use whammy, you go 31st fret, but there's not even a 31st fret. You need to tab 19th WITH whammy. Tabbing 31st or something like that is completely wrong way to approach.
