That is not a bug in the final battle, that is actually an advantage given to you if you do a fatality on any of the other characters. They'll flicker and it gives you a damage boost on that opponent.
Thats honestly a way cooler way of integrating fatalities/finishers into the game than just giving extra score. Just wish they picked an effect that gave the opponent bonus damage on your eyes, though that might be thanks to the final battle having been a bit rushed in development
I never watched others play this game really, and while playing myself I am focused on the combat, so I never noticed the worshipers all fall down when ever Chaos rips a fart. Nice attention to detail! lol
I actually remember collecting the Playmates Primal Rage figures when I was a kid. this game along with MK & KI are among my top favorite fighting games of all time. this game came out at just the right time due to the Dinosaur Craze that was going on at the time. those were great times, and it's something we'll sadly never get again. I really hope though that GOG can get MATD listed on their site, and for Primal Rage 1 & 2 to get proper emulated releases now a days as well as more inspired dinosaur statues from companies like Nanmu Studio to hopefully a full new line of action figures from companies like Storm Collectibles.
Yep, especially the last of which was Midway Arcade Treasures 2. The PS2 version wasn't that good, feeling as sluggish as SNES MK1 at times. It didn't feel as 'zippy' as the arcade machine, which I had access to around MAT2's release. The sluggishness made it harder for me to pull off special moves and fatalities.
I loved this game back then, played it in the arcade and at home on my Megadrive. Dinosaurs and fighting games were a perfect combination for a 12years old me!
if they ever did decide to revive Primal Rage, not only would I be in favor of changing the designs of Diablo to a Carnotaurus type creature and Chaos to be more like an Orangutang, but I'd rather have it be a legitimate sequel than a remake (same with F-Zero, Kid Icarus, and StarFox which I'd love to see a StarFox 3). Primal Rage III would be quite an epic return and one I'd be in favor of if they kept with that old school super detailed high quality stop motion animation type esthetic.

I loved primal rage and mortal kombat 2 but when mortal kombat 3 kame out it meant mortal kombat 2 obviously was a thing of the past but primal rage was never played again sadly. A game that i put down long before its time. I liked vertigo

The flashing at the end is because they are dead thanks to you performing a fatality upon them. I think it is supposed to represent their spirits.
