I just saw where Grandma passed. My heart goes out to you. I would love to say the ache of missing her will go away, but I can't. What I can say is after this year of 'firsts' the ache will become more dull as each year passes. You will remember her, miss her, then remember her with smiles and laughter.
One thing you can be so very proud of yourself is that you were there for her. There isn't anything that you can regret not doing for her. You kept her fingers moving and her mind as sharp as can be.
Now it's time for you to try and get your life back, unless you need to be there for your other grandma now.
No matter what, Chris, thank you for sharing your time with your grandma with all of us.

spoke to her about money, she always wanted to give it to her siblings and family. God Bless you. I know it will be hard for you and you will miss her every day but she had such good care and did not have to go to a nursing home.

Thank you Chris for all your videos with your grandma. Being a caregiver is not an easy task. But you’re very lucky with your grandma and at age 97, she is still verbal and able to communicate with you anything.
You see, my mom is 81yo. Has been bed ridden for 3yrs & 3mos now. She has tracheostomy, PEG, perm cath & a working fistula. And totally dependent on us for her care.
And each time I watch your videos, makes me happy that you are still able to communicate with Granma. My mom just sort of, maybe gave up on normal living.
