Matthias said in a recent interview the product is no longer the 'build', the product is now the video which was a good insight.
Whatever you do you will have the haters so I don't know the answer.
I imagine watchers see the thumbnail and then decide if they are going to invest the time to watch a 10-12 minute video whereas a 2 min video is less investment so will just do it no matter what.
That being said I doubt a non-subscriber will click a small 2 min video of someone fixing a cabinet door.
Just do what you need to do we will still be here.
I've believed that the product hasn't been the build from day 1 (of my CZcams career). The video is the product...and piece is the subject of that video.

This was... by FAR... my favorite video that you've made Chris, and interestingly enough... I don't even really like the mirror frame. I don't hate it, but... it's just not my thang I guess. But... I love the fact that you almost kind of goof on your sponsors, with such an aloof way of explaining what they do: Chromebook, MackWeldon, Squarespace... but with the way you goof on em, it makes me want to go check them out WAY more than if you had just read some well written ad stuff.
Also... the deep, introspective bit at the end that you end with a zing! Love it! And in this video... I didn't hear one single use of your favorite word... "Well..."
Your designs are always amazing! Even this mirror that I said I don't love... it's still the best damn mirror frame design I've ever seen. I think I just don't like full length mirrors. Keep it up Chris... and let me know when I can buy a Chris Salamone design somewhere!

haha, even though i wish it really had been a smart mirror because that i was searching for, the video was beautiful as always, and didn't leave me unsatisfied at all. the result is SO stunning and leaves me inspired and wanting such nice furniture, as usual. wish i had the skill and tools to make this beauty. i'll get round to it some day. in the meanwhile, i really enjoyed seeing it made, so thanks!

but Hey! nice project! I would like a mirror I could have display temp. time. battery voltage. solar current. current used. I could maybe use led meters. I just need a mirror that will allow them to shine through! I don't exactly know where to get a 2 way mirror. I guess i could use glass. and mirror tint.
or just take what I did one step further, print out some clear stickers and put that on your mirror :P
