- The four deer in our small herd are the offspring of Nicky and the only ones who allow me within arms reach of them. I knew her for over 13 years before she passed away one year ago. The deer are blacktail deer located in the foothills of the Oregon coast range.

Because of the deer we can't have a garden or flowers. They will even get on the deck and eat potted plants. We choose the deer..! ❤❤❤❤
I had Nicky trained, now that she is gone our plants are being munched again. Oh well, everyone has plants, not everyone has friendly deer.😁♥️

It seems like they prefer to be in smaller herds, four seems average. It's a nice closer bond than it would be with more of them and no arguing over the stump either!😂♥️

You're welcome, I need to do it more often. At the moment we only have names for the four of them that visit the most. Tricky is the oldest and has a shiny bare line on her nose, Flo is a shy 3 year old and has a way of holding her head with her nose higher than others. The twins are two years old, Nick has darker markings than his sister Goldie. I know that the twins and Flo are siblings, but I'm unsure if Tricky is an older sister or an aunt.
Flo's belly finally got the best of her.😂😂 I can't believe how bold the turkeys are. Not shy at all.😊
Bold, but jumpy!😂 When they come up onto the deck, any sound and off they fly! We try and scare them off because they dig up the flowers we have and leave droppings everywhere. I had to stop feeding the birds and squirrels on the deck thanks to their messes.😠 Oh well, I enjoy seeing the turkeys enough to put up with trying to keep them off the deck.😂

Thank you Goldie. A little white balance change makes a big difference in the colors, something I learned with my DSLR still camera that some tablets are capable of.😉
