This is classic bed time story material, but perfect for day time too - the narrative in swell & execution nicely consistent. Don’t comment much on videos but think your channel is definitely top recommended for comic stories in my opinion, and I like so lean on supporting pioneers of their craft.

You hate when the heroes resort to violence first? I'd say being kidnapped by a hostile enemy warrants a violent resistance as appropriate. As far as Annihilus' character, I take him as being based on a 'Snidely Whiplash' villain archetype.
Although they have the emotional temperament of a petulant child, with their self-absorbed tantrums and petty outbursts, do not underestimate this archetype's intelligence, cunning and relentlessness.
Annihilus is the extreme of this Archetype; a maniacal, single-minded narcissistic nihilist that fuels the psychopathic compulsion of a mind that has absolutely no concept of empathy or compassion and never will. He is a fiend with a genius mind and bleeding edge technology.
Of course he has mastered Hordes of creatures to use as waves of expendable soldiers. He kills everyone that is truly sentient so they can't advance enough to ever be a threat. It's like saying a warlord wouldn't have any guard dogs or soldiers at the ready around his war tent or his palace. Pinging on this (15:22) is being hypercritical in my view.

I think you’d be happy to know that I’ve been focusing heavily on completing and entire Defenders’ appearances collection, I need 17 issues of the main series and the three single issues in namor, strange, and hulk...also have put together almost every appearance of squadron supreme, wundarr, and lots of other name-your-listers, thank you for helping me get into some of my favorite characters!!!

I need to go back and read the Squadron Sinister series from about five years ago when Hyperion kills Namor. I don't think I ever finished reading that one.

This brings back childhood memories to me. Did you leave a few panels out from the Let There Be Life story? This is from a time where fathers weren't allowed in delivery rooms. Wasn't there some other guy waiting with Reed for news of his baby being delivered? The self-described 'nundle of berves'? I hope I remember it right.
It's been awhile since I wrote the script for this - but I know I didn't cover every page of each issue as I was concentrating on tying Annihilus's story together. Just been too long. I might have to jump on Marvel Universe to check.

I had a chance to reread the FF Annual #6 story recently, in the pages of FF issue of the new Marvel Tales (and this was my first time reading it in color; Essentials, you were great for your time, but come on, Epics in color are the new hotness). It boggles my mind how a one-off character like Annihlus, designed for the express purpose of Reed punching some sort of representation of anti-life for about fifty pages before we get to the part we all wanted to see (Franklin being born for most readers I'd imagine, but Johnny and Crystal being reunited is always the biggest winner for my blood), not only managed to warrant return bouts for decades, but eventually became the key villain for multiple major line-wide crossovers. That first story is so remarkably complete to me that all of his subsequent appearances seem a little forced and samey. That "Annilation" story from a few years ago did give him a pretty cool army to rally around, but the dude himself desperately needs an image touch-up.
All this and more is why I fail to understand any hype about bringing Annihilous to the MCU (and doubly so as a villian that would give Thanos pause). Only one villian stood up to him while held the Gauntlet and walked away as victor - Maelstrom.
Those reprints were an appreciated injustice. I was so excited when I first saw one. I wish I knew the face I made when I looked inside one the fist time. I remember the disappointment

What the hell was wrong with Ben Grimm in those last two issues? Did the cure that allowed him to switch from human to rock form addle his brain? Seems like it was just an excuse by the writers to keep him as the Thing permanently, which is really getting old. He should've gained control of his transformation ages ago.
Yep, you nailed it. The ability to change was what was making him him haughty and aggressive.
Annihilus is cool however I like Blastaar the living bomb burst better. At least as far as negative zone villains go. Video on Blastaar at some point please?

He learned their secrets of Tyanna from listening to the helmet and gained his power from fusing the power of the "seed" canisters into the Cosmic Control Rod.

Thoughts on the new defenders story being told this month at marvel? The return of Nebulon via “the conductor” I think it feels like old school defenders big time
I am behind on current Marvel. I am to date up through the most recent Secret Wars but things get spotty for me after that. Since I no longer purchase Marvel on the regular I usually binge on trades or the Marvel Online service after major events have wrapped up and then read the entire thing at once. I forget too many details when the issues are 30+ days apart. One of the reasons why I love Image so much is their ease of getting caught up on any new title by using trades.

Look for more consistent uploads starting around the end of this summer. I will be launching a patreon late summer / early fall. I'll have goals put up that if reached will result in monthly, bi-monthly, or weekly videos. Maybe some other stuff in there as well. But I have to make it through the spring and summer first.

Every nerd thinks Stan lee is a God and can do no wrong. Well they should read these last few comics and it is clearly flawed writing. Just as you pointed out these are some of the most ridiculous and idiotic comic stories ever written.
