i heard no mention of a particular highly revelatory and macabre episode of durst's life: he had a dog named igor that went missing, was replaced multiple times by another dog of the same breed that would also be named igor and would also subsequently disappear, over and over. he was heard to use the word igor as a verb apparently meaning murder. the theory i buy is that he was practicing vivisection and cadaver concealment, and maybe getting some cheap thrill-kills in

His behavior and the negitive and irrationally pronounced voice in his head, leads me to conclude that defence council should enter a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.
He may have known right from wrong at times but the amplified voice in his head seemed to override rationality.
He certainly had diminished ability to act with reason and restraint.
He wants to take control the family business but is peeing in trash cans and doesnt have enough were withall to stop talking to himself while in meetings.
( I would imagine he was saying some strange things to get booted from the company. His family owned the place!)
Peeing on a candy display l is a clear cut break from reality in my opinion and would be consistent with other behaviors.
He wants to stay unnoticed from police but his strange behaviour is drawing attention.
Maybe his intellegence was keeping him from a complete break from reality.
It seems to be a constant struggle with him to stay sane.
It is logical that he should be confined to a mental health facility.( If found guilty)
