I have yours's sibling, the 009, love it! I concur with you, I think old SKXs are the quintessential Seikos. It's what comes up in my head immediately when I think 'Seiko' followed by an orange monster.

I got mine for 165 on Amazon. Va you believe that. I thought it was expensive too. That was 10 or so years ago.
