Always remember this. Seaside Special OBs signature music,. OBs directed by Michael Hurll. Some of my first BBC OBs as a very keen 6th form student looking to work in TV. Over 40 yrs later & I'm still working as a Broadcast TV Engineer. Still remember hearing this song as the opening vts were run. So many great memories of friendly crews giving me so much careers advice.

From the long hot summer of 1975. Which was followed by a dry winter and then an even longer and hotter summer the following year. The result was a drought in 1976, with stand pipes coming into force for the public. I remember in some pubs near us, there was no lager or Guinness. We had to make do with other drinks. Never mind, the memories of those times are still very happy ones for me.

Brilliant song - his only number one hit, but he refuses to allow it to appear on any compilation albums. Even his greatest hits album doesn't have it. Work that one out.

The one wearing the peach colour, that would be Cherry Gillespie, who later appeared in the James Bond film Octpussy, as I'm sure you'll remember :-)

    At last.
This is a song Mike has yet to allow on CD. Essentially the same personnel as a Wombles session, except no reference to the furry fellows in the lyric - otherwise it could easily have been a Wombles record.
This is the more respectable of the two TV appearances Mike did to plug the single - his first top 5 hit under his own name btw - the other had him decked out in a larger afro with outrageous platform shoes ("don't ask me why I did it... it seemed like a good idea at the time").

The one and only Jimmy Sa vile introducing Pan's people. Pan the Geeek fertility god and companion of nymphs. Also associated with sex. What a delight for you Sa vile.
