    Borla exhaust coupled with Roush CAI has been a great combo on my ‘17 Raptor for the last 2+ years. Ford Performance worked with Borla and of course Roush and Ford have been working together for many years.

    37s work for street driving but once you go offroad there will be massive damages without new fenders and suspension work. Its not worth running them If you are serious about offroading.

    Aside from performance mods, I actually love the stock look of the new raptor. Only thing I would change is the front amber lights to white.

    • @meshuggah921
      @meshuggah921 Před rokem +2

      It's beneficial having the orange lights for fog/dust conditions. White lights reflect way too much and blind you during these conditions, vs the amber lights cut throw and allow for not only you to see better, but other vehicles to see you as well.

    Do I need a throttle module if a Raptor already has sport and Baja modes?

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  Před 4 lety +2

      You may still want one to put an extra bit of pep in your step when you get on it. Throttle modules are nice on really any electronic throttle body application, it doesn't require any kind of tuning to get the performance feel you want out of any vehicle. The best part is that they are not just an on/off switch but you can adjust how aggressive you want the response to be.

      @ethan5610 Před 3 lety +2

      If you are unsure about it I got it and it wasn't for me. Essentially what it does it make your pedal a little more sensitive. Example being if you a half throttle it could be full throttle. I disliked mine and returned it

  • @chadd8906

    Seems that you completely ignored the suspension, which is unfortunate. Seems this list is more for street cruiser performance.
    Improving the rear leafs should be one of the first items on the list. Deaver/Icon leafs provide a massive improvement in the feel of the truck and keeps it much more "grounded". That upgrade would also be the time to decide if any lift is wanted.
    For higher budget items, there is a major improvement with installing a slot delete kit (KHC has an awesome one)and adjustable UCA (required with a slot delete kit). This fixes the alignment in place and eliminates that headache. This along with Fox 3.0 on all four corners is a worthy improvement.
    The above is exactly what I have actually installed on my truck and the improvement is incredible. For those that actually take their truck off road, the above is the most impactful performance improvement for the money (maybe not if your truck never sees dirt).

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  Před 4 lety +6

      Hey Chad, great contribution in the comments, thank you for adding this! You're spot on that we tailored this video for the more common Raptor owner, where the stock suspension is more than capable for their use of the truck. We know only about 5% of Raptor owners are going out and hucking their truck.... and while we love those drivers, not exactly who we were aiming this video at. But that said, I think you're right that we overlooked the rear leafs, and I've heard the Deavers are a great upgrade. We offer the Tuff Country Add-a-Leaf, which at under $200 offer a 1.5" lift, and a good value compared to the $1400 Deavers (which replace the full stack and offer more smooth performance), the Tuff Country are a great budget minded way to address the rear leafs: www.motoroso.com/p/179638-tuff-country-82550-add-a-leaf-kit
      We also have FabTech UCA's, which are definitely a good upgrade for anyone wanting a bot more travel and offroad durability: www.motoroso.com/p/40069-fabtech-fts22275-uniball-control-arms-fits-17-18-f-150-2?lid=74325

      Agree with your comments. Add heavy duty skid plates to the list while you are at it. First thing I did was cover the bottom of the truck with 10 gauge steel covering

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  Před 4 lety +3

      Hey Max, Cobb definitely hasn't "done us wrong" in any way. We just don't have much experience with their products. They have a requirement that their retailers/resellers have a bring and mortar performance shop thats open to customers. We have a full shop, as you can see in our how-to videos, but we use the shop to create how-to videos and content for CZcams, and we don't offer installation services to customers. We're an online e-commerce marketplace, and we sell nationwide. We haven't spent much time trying to convince them to let us be a seller of their products, but maybe we should put more effort into that, we know they make good products.

  • @RMC2021

    You guys really should have done more research... The COBB accessport with a stage 1 tune alone provides fantastic safe gains and the transmission tune is hands down the best I've ever tested. It also includes a pedal commander type program to change the throttle pedal characteristics as well as the auto start/stop delete. The factory intake and exhaust on the raptors are already well tuned and there is no need to drop thousands for both. Check out COBB's full line of raptor accessories and you won't be disappointed. I have absolutely no affiliation with COBB at all but I am very impressed with their stage 1 kit I put on my raptor.

    • @Motoroso

      Definitely don’t think it’s “easy” to fit 37’s without rubbing, and thought we said that pretty clearly. Our buddy Ramin has 37’s with just a leveling kit and deavers, with no rubbing daily. BUT for sure, if he wheels it hard, there could be issues. Not everyone thrashes their Raptor. Anyhow, sorry you’ll never buy parts from us, and sorry you thought the video was misleading.

    All those mods are mall cruiser junk...intake/exh/tuner is useless off road...and BTW my factory option wheels can be be bead-locks and are forged not cast...one drive off road and you know Ford missed the mark on the rear spring package including a set of terrible 2" lift blocks...oh yeah those 37" tires are going to rub when you (well...not you) leave the pavement...I own a 2018 Gen2 and everything you suggested has never been needed in the middle of Baja...
