I think you should call people out because you'd really protect your fans
1. Customize your temporary home
2. Not growing/ investing your money somehow
3. Spending money you dont have
4. Bad investments
5. Gambling
6. Living above your means
7. Buying on margin
8. Not having an emergency savings
9. Not building your credit early on
yes, call people out, I have seen loads of scam courses out there.
For me,
•I don’t buy designer clothes.
•Advise strongly against anyone who wants to get a car on finance.
•I don’t buy anything, that I can’t sell for more.
•Buy most things used, unless the warranty is important.
•Don’t rent a place unless you have to, and by god do not do up somebody else’s house too much if it’s rented.
Coming from a guy who just started a You Tube channel about investments, I think you need to call people out when it's deserved it's to everyone benefit.
Assuming you logically explain why it's a bad idea. Like obviously everyone can "find value" in anything but there is a pretty blatant line crossed with it being your perception of value and it being a topic for views/sales.
Dont loan to friends and family money that you need. You should loan what you would be willing to sacrifice in order to keep the relationship with them.
Never buy a new car. Lose value right off the lot. Buy a used one a few years old with same body style.

Jack you definitely need to call people out. any news is good news for your channel, if they respond (which they probably will if it's controversial), you most likely will get even more views and subs because of it

My advice is don't go shopping all the time. Take some time to reflect before you buy something you want and not need, such as a limited edition of something. Is it really going to add a lot of value to your life if you get it? Or is it just bragging rights?
TheAnimeWatcher0 i think this is an excellent way to not give in to consumerism.
No reason to call out on people YOU consider are bad sources. We all have different risk tolerance and different cash amount. If I decide to invest $5-10K in a VERY risky stock or even crypto it cannot be considered a bad investment. A portfolio has to be looked at in its whole and not just per single investment. If what looks like a crappy/high-risk investment is just a micro part of a bigger investment strategy and diversification, it cannot be seen as bad. And stock suggestions have to be taken lightly, no one knows what the market is going to do tomorrow. If they think they do, you know they are even more untrustworthy.

What are good investments or investment practices for a complete begginer? Ive heard of people investing is stocks but I have my reservations because one of my parents invrsted in a stock when I was a kid and she lost a lot of money and my family went into huge debt and my parents were already in debt to begin with. My parent who invested in this stock didn't get it and the other debts payed off untill they were in their 60s so almost 15 years later!

Hey Jack- I do think you should make videos concerning what you think is bad investing advice that you have seen promoted on youtube (we are all fairly young here and we know your word isn't truth) but it is nice to hear different opinions and I think you could provoke a lot of good conversations among us. My fav investing advice is to put your first 10k in SPY or another S&P 500 index fund and to not use target date funds in your retirement account- the ones in mine are so much more expensive if you invest in the target date fund instead of spending 5 min online investing in the individual funds that that packaged one is made out of. Those hills and mountains, at least in the secluded high end neighborhood near here, are prone to fires and rock slides, I was there (because I was walking as high as the streets would go for the heck of it) and it was fair and sunny and about noon and no rain the day before or before that and little rocks were falling... Other than that, nice neighborhoods and some very good views where you can easily see downtown LA and I think even the coast just barely if you're at the right angle.

Your videos are great. My only quibble is your tendency to go off on short digressions before snapping back to the main topic. It's as if you're interrupting yourself. You also talk really, really fast sometimes, and it affects your diction. Hey. I know you aren't working off a script, and I realize you're super smart, so your mouth can't keep up with that whirlwind of thinking going on up in your brain, but just breathe and relax and take it a little slower. I've listened to your scripted, narrated vids, and in those you sound very professional.
