I love playing Rakan, I just wish they would go all the way as having his role as a tank so we can get more tank related scaling in his kit versus all of it being AP reliant.

When I first started falling in love with support back in s3, it was spamming Janna with exhaust and heal when heal affected your whole team.
End score: 26 out of the 32 KP was the botlane. You monster.
Back when I used to main Kindred I would take Smite+Exhaust so I could duel better, and the handful of people who ever noticed would lose their shit in ways varying from "bruh wtf" to "GG FF 15", but there was only ever a handful of times where I wished I'd had flash in hundreds of games.
I rarely ever play now, and when I do, it's usually bots, and I take TP with either exhaust, ghost, or smite.
While your point does stand about flash, I do think it's hilarious that you talked about how most players use flash inefficiently, followed IMMEDIATELY by two very efficiently used flashes, Brand dodging W (if he didn't end up going back in and dying), and Aphel dodging Kog passive

i agree with your whole intro, but i pose one question: for those who are competent, what is the opportunity cost of no flash R/W combo for your Rakan mid/late?
Even for me, as a lee sin support, i see this as a win. R flash has a good chance at winning 10 percent of games off one play. But if you can win more with the early oppression, you dont have to lose the 90. That math doesnt track but it kinda do, doesnt put you in as many flip flop games

I play a lot of janna and i stopped taking flash on her. I just got so much more use out of taking heal/exhaust or ignite. Plus the heal scales better on Janna since she can do more damage with the movement speed. ADC's today shouldn't be split pushing unless they are vayne, so they really dont need heal >>

I was playing Kindred jg yesterday without flash and it was so horribly bad I'll never try it again. I missed like 10 kills because people flash over the wall that was too wide for Q. Rakan could be better since it's on lane and he has a lot of mobility anyway.

Alright, playing without flash does change your mental, but as a gm rakan player, im telling you it's a mistake.

hmm i mean jea they nerfed rakans movement... but still... the value of an ult flash in a teamfight can turn the table pretty hard and in those scenarios, it wont keep you alive to have an exhaust when 5 people are dropping their load on you... aren't you giving away his biggest combo with that summoner swap? you already arent picking rakan blind so chances are you would have won the lane alone with the decision to pick rakan... not a fan of it
