Will this work on the Honda Hr-v 2018? The head unit looks slightly different, all touch screen with no physical buttons at the side however they are the same options
stuwilson89 it should work as long as the software matches what is in the video, if you have a newer more up to date software version then it probably won’t

can someone help me.... I am trying to do this on my Honda Civic HU 2016 build 0c.091.01.1123. I have reset to factory setting, changed the permission to allow 3rd party apps, on the browser for Honda permission It then states down loading started but the down load says and will continue to down load for about 10 minutes and then say progress failed.If I do this by usb i.e down load the Honda permission from CMDroid. I down load this on to a USB stick that is 16gb and formatted to FAT32. I have tried on both unzipped and zipped but the anroidapp only recognises the unzip but the install function is greyed out.. I can say I have managed to download Netflix but this only works then stationary an on WIFIWhat am I doing wrong.
I reset my headunit, but when I go to install the permissions app it keeps saying not installed, not sure what I’m doing wrong :/

I have a Fk2 type r but it doesn't have any app function on the Infortainment... Is there any other way to jailbreak it and use it
U must have a updated headunit unfortunately there isn’t any jailbreaks for them. Sorry
Did you manage to get Waze to function whilst driving after adding it to the processes in permissions? Once I did that Waze would no longer load and, kept asking me to force close. Once I removed the permissions it would run but obviously the parking brake check would disable the app again when driving.
Yes it worked fine when I uploaded it. When using it it has to be the only app working tho

In my Honda Civic from 08/2016 I have Garmin navigation installed on my entertainment system, Standart installed from Honda !. My question is: If I run a Factory data reset will my Garmin not disappear from my system here after ?

On civic 2021 can`t install any app (including Honda permissions) install button is disabled.

Not tried this to be honest, i dont think the unit will take apple carplay. i would like it too. havent looked at it much so maybe i could look into this in the future

Yap same, also 2016 CR-V. Hopefully I can run Waze normally tho, since it like goes off when I'm driving (safety feature), idk why is there no google maps on cmdroid...

When I do this and click on the permissions app it says downloading. Once you view the downloads it says untitled 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️

Hi, I've managed to install Netflix and it works. However as soon as handbreak is off it goes off. I've tried to change process controls but I can't find Netflix in there. I have added it as showed in the vid prior to install but still no joy. Any idea ?
It’s a safety feature that u won’t be able to over ride. U can only watch things when hand take applied

The guide kinda skips app process controlls. Let's say I want to install youtube. I wrote com.youtube.music on apk and package name, followed your guide for process controlls. Installed youtube from file commander. Still youtube turns off the moment I press accelerate. I'm sure I need to do something more with process controlls, but since you skipped what to write there I'm lost

No. The usb is only needed to load the app
Hi - I added th eTorque app but it does not work when th ecar is moving . It says its disabled for safety reasons.?? Am I missing a setting somewhere?
In your Honda permissions app you need to check that the torque app has the correct process controls
When u load Honda permissions click on process controls, click the + button and add these settings
Honda permissions settings for torque app:
Process name: org.prowl.torque
Package name : org.prowl.torque
Auth Type: pre install
App type: Navi
Sound out: ✅
Sound interrupt: ✅
Last Mode: ✅
Oomsetperm: do not tick
Processkilltarget: don’t tick
Video out : off
Sound interrupt: mute ✅
Click save!!
It should work after these settings have been inputted

How long does the app download take? I gave it a good 5 mins via my home Wifi an still showed as downloading?

I managed to install but no waze and most of the apps are useless. The most important app woul be te one true which we could mirrorlink the phone and job done. Is there a way to do this? Is there an app to support this feature? Thanks!
you could try downloading a mirrorlink app from a third party website and loading it onto headunit that way. not sure it will work tho

Its probably a bit late now but, I had grey at first, did once again factory reset and it turned blue and worked.

Any update on this
The bigger the better but you can only load one app onto usb flash drive at a time. So the size of usb doesn't really matter as files won't be that big

@@RInstRuct2885 please, if you find method to both update Honda and installation 3rd party apps, put it here. Update fixes Bluetooth problem and a few others which are important

@@RInstRuct2885 yes I have the permissions app installed, but when i click install the file commander, it tries to install but then it shows error app not installed, I will try again from install from USB Key, I was downloading from cmdroid website and install via downloads, maybe this is the problem
Install to your usb, write the permissions for file explorer into permission app see if it works that way

You can download it via other websites if you want google maps.

Some apps may work but u need to make sure it's compatible with the version of android that the head unit is. I know I installed candy crush back when I first did it
