I have 2018!Honda CR-V ex, so I only want to get Honda hack pro and modify some settings if you use Apple car play can you see Apple Maps in crv cluster? I saw some videos were they installed waze app on Honda hack then it worked for car play maps on the cluster. Also did you find any problems? Will Everything work fine if I do it? Did you get the Honda hack 5.0 pro? Thanks
I would advise getting a dongle to go along to run carplay or android auto...waze is much faster under cp/aa than running off the headunit with wifi connected

It’s been a great car. What are you coming out of? How long is your commute? Very comfortable ride. Awesome economy. Plenty of room. I almost did not get it because of the ugly back wheel but I got over it.
Stephen Seligson Hello there. Thanks for responding! I’m coming out of a Jetta Sportswagon TDI Diesel. I get about 49/50 mpg and love my wagon. But have to sell it back to VW cuz of the emissions fraud. ;/ Fuel economy’s important-going to be living on a tight budget for a few years to come. I live in New England and the winters are freezing with lots of snow. Planning on buying snow tires, which will decrease fuel economy by a bit, but not much. I’d use the same Michelin Tires, except with a different thread is all. With the car’s weight, I should have good traction. Will also buy a battery heater for only $90. The Canadian Clarity comes with the heater. Do you have cold winters where you’re at? The thing I’ll miss most is not having rails on the vehicle or not having a bicycle rack on the back. I go camping ⛺️ by myself to friendly family campgrounds. I don’t know how friendly of a “camping” car this would be. What do you think? I sure wish it were a hatch, though the trunk isn’t that bad really. Another hesitation I have is the lack of a spare tire. I’ve had tire flats and tire mishaps before, so that’s a biggy for me, but am trying to stay positive. This would be my 1st car without it. However, the fuel economy and driving quality of the car keep me coming back to it. It drives like I’m floating on air. Love the LEDs at night also. I’m planning on buying it this month. Any additional feedback you could give me would be so, so helpful. You’re the first Clarity owner I’ve spoken with here. Sure thank you in advance. For me, this is a huge decision. 🙏 Thank you! P.S. My commute is 8 miles, so I’d be driving in EV mode most of my commute. I do drive many highway stretches and drive a lot on freeways during the weekend. I drive a lot. Love driving, especially in the rain. :)
Olhos Verdes I live on Long Island. I don’t think you need a battery heater and I know you get more snow but Hold off on the snow tires. We had one snow and here so far and it handlers great. I would very much recommend a level 2 charger. Almost a must. My commute is about 15 miles each way and use no gas. My first car that did not come with a spare was two cars ago and it was a Prius. I ended up buying one and keeping it in the hatch. After that I got a fusion energy it did not have a spare. This does not have that either. I bought an extra spare tire kit on amazon- the green stuff and a flit repair plug kit. I also have aaa. It is a concern though.as for the space in the truck. It has plenty of room. Consider leading instead of buying. My lease is $350 a month 0 down. 16k mikes a year.
Stephen Seligson We’re practically neighbors. I’m in SW Connecticut. Nice response-thanks. Good to hear of your good experience with tires and not having much of a need for a spare. I too have AAA, but all they could do is tow the car, which is so inconvenient. But it seems to be the way of the hybrids as most don’t have a spare. I too prefer leasing this car. The $7500 one could’ve gotten from the IRS to buy the car straight out gets applied as rebates on the lease though, correct? I could use the tax credits, but this being such a new car, I feel it’s safer in the long-run to lease it and minimize the risk.

Did it work? Guess you will have to touch and hold power, menu and the brightness control? (since the clarity has the brightness control at the bottom unlike civic)

Does waze work on clarity pHEV base model for navigation? I ask because the base model does not come with navigation.
