- From the 1958 album "Among My Souvenirs". The song titles (with lyrics) are:
(1) AMONG MY SOUVENIRS
There's nothing left for me, of days that used to be,
I live in memory, among my souvenirs.
Some letters tied with blue, a photograph or two,
I see a rose from you, among my souvenirs.
*A few more tokens rest, within my treasure chest,
And though they do their best, to give me consolation.
I count them all apart, and as the teardrops start,
I find a broken heart, among my souvenirs* (*repeat)
(2) WHEN I GROW TOO OLD TO DREAM
We have been gay going our way,
Life has been beautiful we have been young,
After you've gone, life will go on,
Like an old song we have sung.
When I grow too old to dream,
I'll have you to remember,
When I grow too old to dream,
Your love will live in my heart.
So kiss me, my sweet,
And so let us part.
And when I grow too old to dream,
That kiss will live in my heart.
(3) THE ANNIVERSARY SONG
Oh, how we danced on the night we were wed,
We vowed our true love though a word wasn't said.
*The world was in bloom, there were stars in the skies,
Except for the few that were there in your eyes.
Dear, as I held you so close in my arms,
Angels were singing a hymn to your charms,
Two hearts gently beating were murmuring low,
My darling, I love you so* (*repeat)
(4) TOGETHER
We strolled the lane together,
Laughed at the rain together,
Sang love's refrain together,
And we'd both pretend, it would never end.
*One day we cried together,
Cast love aside together,
You're gone from me, but in my memory,
We always will be together* (*repeat) - Auta a dopravní prostředky
WHAT A SOFT VOICE..I LOVE LISTENING TO HER..JONI JAMES❤❤❤
This songs of you miss joni james are my many favorites,
A harp, a xylophone, an organ...
AND THAT VOICE.
Perfection.
Such an amazing voice! Loved her from her first giant hit”Why don’t you believe me”.
Hearing all her songs from 'way back when' is so wonderful and Joni James has such a 'carrying voice'--i am now 80 and will be able to play all her songs over and over and enjoy them each and every time i do. Thanks to CZcams for the privilege of being able to.

Joni James has been my favorite since the 50's..that's more than half a century!!
She is one of the very few singers who can make one feel as though she is singing only for you..up and personal. Fabulous songstress!

This Joni James version is absolutely beautiful. I'm used to the Connie Francis and Marty Robbins versions, but Joni's is the best! Thank you for uploading and sharing this musical masterpiece!!

I first heard Joni sing Why don't you believe me in 1953 and fell in love with her voice. Too bad she didn't have a better manager. The system pushed Patty Page.
WHY DONT PEOPLE KNOW JONI AND HOW GREAT SHE IS ?? teddy
i am a trained musician, taught band, but I must say her singing voice was one of the first i eve rheard, 2nd hand on old 78 rpm records. Joni is one of tefinest examples of perfect singing and tone I have ever heard, And of courrse never over the top except were it musically applies. I could listen to her sing all day damn day. OMG! today all the singrs seem to think the need to turna song (if that's what t you call those things now) as if it is a damned opera. About the singer and not the song anymore. Joni is the perfect blend.
