    Wolf needs to make a concave 5KW induction wok burner for a 13" wok. The 13" wok is more common than the 16" and larger one (as demonstrated here) for home cooking. It would also provide enough room on a 36" configuration to have side burners in addition to main center wok burner for boiling vegetables, soups, and preparing sauces, and noodles.

    I am in a dilemma.....whats the most versatile range top for entertainment?
    1. Wok top
    5th burner for large pots✅
    But can you also add griddle and perform like the double infrared burner?
    2. Double infrared burner griddle..
    You can cook anything on it ✅
    you can still wok on the larger burner?
    Can you use the double infrared griddle as a french top by sitting a large pot down the middle or multiple ones on the griddle??

    A lot of heat escape because of open space at the burners and higher chance of fire hazard if anything come close. The wok burner is pretty efficient.

      Agreed 36K isn’t really enough it barely gets the over flame for a good Hei, I’d adjust the minimum down to 70K as the bare minimum, 100K is great but one can work well with 70K if you are experienced and your work arounds.

    I got a few things wolf should implement. I feel wolf should have the 36K BTU wok burner in a single range-top module. I don’t have interest in the single 22K BTU cooktop. Also wolf should implement the Double Griddle(option infrared grill) to be a single range-top module. Finally wolf should implement both a wok griddle combo range-top. This would allow the customer to pick and choose a premium option without having to waste on extra burners and space they don’t need to. I’m already buying a wolf 36” gas range with 6 burners for my wife in our house build but we want both the Double Griddle into the counter next to it. I will buy the combo right now if they gave me the option.

      If it was me I would do a 65k btu single wok burner rangetop model. They did have a double griddle and grill module .. they were discontinued because they could not sell enough units to justify building and stocking the products. If that is what you are looking for you may want to look at the Gaggenua product line. www.gaggenau.com/us/products/cooktops/400-series#anc-8311484

    • @kona5853

      @@MARSILLIOSAPPLIANCETVBBQ I agree with a 65k Btu single wok burner but the wolf 36k Btu burner is the highest btu burner with a wok deflection cone that I can find currently for indoor installation. Gaggenau is still an 18.8 k btu wok burner still less than the wolf 22k Btu smaller wok cooktop. At 36k Btu the bigger wolf wok burner just barely would give you a flame over wok hei. Really, ideally 65k-75k is the ideal minimum for wok burner with a deflection cone. If you can show me an indoor wok burner that’s 65k Btu then let me know I’ll probably look more into it.

    Very nice, but unless you cook with a wok or do crawfish boils every week it seems like a potentially under utilized space on the range cook top. Now if you decided to run two ranges - say one 36" standard configuration and then this in the same kitchen THAT would be awesome. Or better yet just get a stand alone wok burner, I dunno, I'm just thinking out loud here. Go ahead guys rip me a new one.

      @user-zf4qs2jy3n Před 2 lety +1

      @@MARSILLIOSAPPLIANCETVBBQ your using pans smaller than 4" in diameter? By that logic a smaller pan will need less btu. Turning the know down=smaller flame=less btu out put @ the same fuel to air ratio across the throttle range. Make all 4 burners the same damn rating and learn to turn the dial down. The only exceptable argument would be high output burners lack delicate control on low output settings. By delicate I mean making chocolates. Unless you do this often put a skillet under your sauce pan.

      @MARSILLIOSAPPLIANCETVBBQ  Před 2 lety

      @@user-zf4qs2jy3nNot entirely true. So the smaller burner is a 3" diameter compared to the other burners being a 4" diameter. If you have a smaller pan that is a 4" diameter it will spread the flame more evenly along that vessel than the larger burner which will make it wider than the cooking vessel. Yes you can make the flame lower but it still is not going to be an even heat distribution on the bottom of the pan. A perfect example is an italian coffee maker that is a 3.9 " diameter it will not work well on a 4" diameter burner. Hope that helps S.
