1. What types of devices do you use routinely? (Smartphone, tablet, laptop / desktop computer)
I mainly use my phone and computer. My iPhone is probably the device I use the most. It helps me get rides from Lyft, order food or find nearby places, I use google maps every time I travel for work.
2. What brands? What models? Also tell us about your wheelchair (s) too. Do you use your wheelchair with any devices?
I have two wheelchairs. A large one meant to be driven a lot and everyday. Its from permobile which is affiliated with Quickie wheelchairs. I also have a small portable electric wheelchair that I use when I travel by car. It can be folded and put in almost any car. It’s called the EZ Wheelchair.
3. Do you use any assistive features built into those devices? If so, which ones?
My large chair does have settings that are meant to help with my back pain. The seat can tilt and recline so I can adjust the chair throughout the day so my back doesn’t spasm. It also makes getting bags off my chair at the end of the day. I can tilt the chair down to the ground so I can get my bags.
4. Do you use any additional assistive technology software / apps? If so, which ones?
I dont use any additional software or apps besides the ones I get from the App Store but my phone is my biggest weapon against inaccessible places and homes.
