I’m find my hand to be more flexible when the thumb is entirely placed in the leather. However, a lot of people say the thumb is to be placed between the gap of the leather. It feels too cramped to have the thumb in the gap
Hallo, allereerst bedankt voor je hele leuke videos en alle hulpzame tips! Ik volg sinds September voor het eerst in mijn 29 jarig leven viool les en alles ging tot nu toe heel goed op vlak van oefenen vooruitgang enz. Maar sinds amper 10 dagen heb ik een probleem met het strijken waar ook mijn leerkracht niet meteen de oorzaak van weet. Namelijk wanneer ik een noot (open snaar of niet) aanstrijk vanaf de slof, klinkt deze noot vals (een kwart toon omlaag) tot aan het midden van de boog. Dit enkel wanneer ik strijk in het midden van de snaren. Wanneer ik dichter bij de kam strijk heb ik dit probleem totaal niet, maar dat geeft niet zo'n mooie klank uiteraard. Dit probleem heb ik echt pas sinds 10 dagen geleden en het verpest alles wat ik tot nu toe heb geoefend :( HELP? Dankudankudankudanku!
Dankjewel Davy! Wat voor viool heb je? Misschien komt het door de viool - ik had hetzelfde probleem toen ik een keer op een hele goedkope viool speelde!
@@Violinspiration Het is een viool van Höfner die ik heb gekregen. Als ik het model opzoek heeft deze toch €750 gekost incl. Boog en kistje. Kan het ook aan de kwaliteit van de boog liggen?
@@davyt5183 ik denk eerder de snaren of de viool! Bijv dat de snaren te los gespannen zijn op de viool en daardoor sneller onzuiver worden. Je zou de snaren eens kunnen vervangen en kijken of het helpt - en het beste is natuurlijk gewoon even de vioolbouwer gaan vragen, hij/zij weet t vast!

Hi! I have tried this bow hold but I feel a little bit of excess pain/pressure on the tip of the pinky. It goes away once I rest the bow on the strings. Is this normal or am I maybe holding it incorrectly?

It should not hurt your fingers to hold the bow for the most part. But without seeing you I cannot say you are holding it correctly or incorrectly.🤔
My child can’t quite keep the bow hold for long. His first finger always ends up glued together with the second and third. The fourth finger is usually far from the third and tend to be straight. We’ve worked hard on relaxing his hand and lowering the wrist. Is there anything else we can do to ensure a good bow hand? Thank you in advance!

Looks like you hold the bow quite a bit forward compared to some other violonist. I guess it's not really a problem ?
