Wow, thanks for the compliment! 😀 Good luck.
I agree! Glad to have someone talk about nuances! Which only makes sense. Nuances with the violin makes a big difference!

You’re welcome 😊
Thanks for this sooo much! And the shot of your left hand. I’ve been placing the neck more between the first two joints of my index finger. Glad to confirm what I’ve been doing wrong!
I am happy it helps!
Dankeschön, super erklärt. 👍
Thank you so much!😀
Thanks. I agree with all of this, except the tape on your finger board. Someone had put stickers on mine before I got it, I removed them, they had stained the ebony .

Great explanation!
Thank you.
Thank you, Julia.
You're welcome.🥰
Thank you so much...it helps me alot❤❤🙆🏻♀
You're very welcome.😀
Had my first lesson today so only bowing open strings right now, but this was so so helpful. I’m not near finger positions at the min, but it was worrying me. This was great, thank you!
Oh nice. I am happy you enjoyed your first lesson. I wish you the best of luck on your violin journey. You are going to love learning the fingering positions.😀
Ty very helpful
Glad it helped😀
Hello Julia, thank you for this great explanation. As someone coming from the guitar, I struggled with my left hand position as I learned for classical guitar not to reach over the fingerboard with the thumb, but to place the end of the thumb in the middle of the neck. I did see however that there are violinists doing that as well, so I thought for the violin this is normal as well. Now I know that resting the neck between thumb and fingerbase is correct as well which feels more natural also because the weight of the violin has to be supported as well.
I am happy the video helped you clear that up.🥰
Very useful for beginners.
Glad you think so!
Thanks💖💕💕💕
You're welcome 😊
I’ve been learning violin on my own and my left hand work has been shabby. Now i know why. Thanks a lot. Great video!
Great. I am glad the video helped you.
Thank you so much for this T_T
You're so welcome!😀
Thanks for the replies -My question merely asks -Is instrumental or vocal music primarily about the ear or the eye?
Sounds or touch? Aural Tactile or visual -which?, or is it a combination of all three and are they interdependent or not
depending on the preferences and orientation of different pupils attention and engagement?
I have been trying to find a video like this
Great, I am glad you found it!😀
Hi Julia. Your videos are very very helpful and so easy to follow up. Can you please also do a tutorial on Senna - Bleach. Thanks ❤
Noted!😀Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm a beginner thank you so much....from India !
You're so welcome!😀
Watching this video I realized how lazy my left hand had become. Now I'm not stuck on the neck anymore. Also the stretching is a very good point. I have to go slow learning some new skills because I have to develop my flexibility but it can be done. Just slow and steady practice and the results will follow.
Indeed. I wish you the best of luck!
the best explanation I've seen as I kept surfing
wonderful!
Thank you! I was worried if I was doing it properly 😅
You're very welcome! I am happy it helped.😀
Mam can you plzz take a tutorial of believer
Thanks for the suggestion!😀
Well come mam
I am intermidiate but realize i have ro reevaluate my hold. I get a kink in my neck from squeezing but when i relax my chin and shoulder , i want ti squeeze my thumb . Would u say you mostly hold up violin with left index finger joint. I feel my thumb for counter pressure but index holding up the violin
You hold up the violin with your chin and shoulder. Not your left hand. Your hand should be able to be let go and your violin should still be help with your chin and shoulder.
Why are there no subtitles in your videos?
😊
Hi Wendy!😀
@@Violinspiration good morning teacher

Hii, Please can you make a video on Chopin Nocturne. Please please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
If Julia is seeing this please reply
Thanks for the suggestion!😀
Yes, I am seeing this! 👀
I notice that you bend your left thumb slightly & that it is quite high above the fingerboard. I do this to because it naturally curves this way. But I am told the thumb should be straight.
Different teachers teach differently. This is what is most comfortable to me and how I was taught.
Please add subtitle to your videos.
Can you tell me the tones that are relevant to your violin situation? Because i don't know.
Hi Lilani, I am sorry but I guess I don't understand your question. What do you mean relevant to my violin situation? What situation are you speaking about? I would love to help you if you can be a bit more specific with your question. I look forward to hearing from you.
To what tones/notes have you tuned
your violin? Please tell me julia.
I live in Srilanka.
@@lilanichandrika9214 G - D - A - E In notes: SOL - RE - LA - MI
if this is what you mean
Yes ,a tone is the gap of two semitones like C to D but a semitone is a closer step between E and F and between B and C. It's is not a sount. That is a pitch.
How to play accent on the violin.. I'm not able to play accent as I'm new beginner
I hope my video tutorial help! good luck.
Maam iam an indian... Are you able to play malayalam or any other indian song...
Gosh, not at the moment, but thanks for the suggestion.😀
First 😍
🥰
How do blind people play in tune if they cannot see stickers ?
They have very trained ears and can hear if they are in tune or not.
@@Violinspiration So have blind people a musical learning advantage inasmuch as their
intonation omits the visual route and corrects the pitch from auditory memory directly to tactile
adjustment without the visual?
Thank you! I found this really helpful! I want to make sure I have good technique and a good posture since I’m teaching myself. These videos help me make sure I don’t develop any nasty habits from the beginning.
That is great. I am happy my videos are helpful. Good luck!🤩
