@@aldendomino3523 so what? I understand his opinion, because book is not only unbelievably cute (in fact it is not), but also very intense and deep. The wisdom in its pages is on metapsychical, esoteric level plus Ende is very talented storyteller but I disagree with him - if the film happened to be artistic and philosophical experience, very few people would be prepare for that. But now, it´s crafty and very good movie that can appeal masses. And whole world can experience the joy of Bastian´s happy flight. Don´t get me wrong, the book is better in every aspect, it is also my most favourite of all books I have ever read (and I´am an enthusiastic reader). There are books that can´t be really adapted faithfully and accurate. The Little Prince, The Lord of the Rings, Fahrenheit 451 and so, and so. We can be purists or we can still enjoy the metamorphosis of the great stories albeit little donwgraded but still amazing.

Now this is how we dealt with bullies back in MY day!!! It should also be noted that the Nothing was never completely vanquished. It merely retreated and took on a new form: the Internets.
"Falcor, it is even more beautiful than I thought"! And so is this movie!! A true masterpiece! After seeing this, I simply HAD to watch the movie again, and to my surprise it still holds up today. :-) The death scene of Artax in the swamp still breaks my heart to this day, and I'm 39 now. This movie and E.T. are really great memories from my childhood....from so long ago...
Its FALCOR!.. am 43 years old but every time i see this movie i feel delighted and smiling, thousand times i see this film since i watched this from 80's era. Indeed, youtube is a TIME MACHINE :)
Seven years old, in the early 2000s. This movie and the sequel came on TV, and I watched it with my mom and big sister. When I heard those two names "Atreyu! Artax!" I was glad they were both in the other room getting food... because I was fighting back tears.
Falcor reminds me of Golden Retriever, one of my favourite dog breeds. Plus the Neverending Story was a film from my childhood that brings back memories!
this film spoke the language of children and appealed to their wonderment, fantasy, hopes and fears. if film reviewers dismiss it because of the less appeal to adults, then they really never understood it and watched the film when they were children.
I’m so happy all of a sudden hahah I’m 33 and looking at the comments there’s a select few from that era that we’re blessed to have seen this very strange and originally cool movie
Reporting LIVE from the news copter, Scoop Nemeth Action News, somewhere majestic. Now back to you in the studio! I'm feeling all YEEEEE-HAAAAH right now!
So true, it was great being a kid in the late 80's early 90's, everything was better, movies, tv, video games, toys, candy, activities, it was honestly the shit and I'm so thankful to have lived that, easily the best time ever to be a kid.

and Labyrinth?
the best era - full of cults!
Thirty damn years old and I still get head-to-toe goosebumps.
Now this is how we dealt with bullies back in MY day!!! It should also be noted that the Nothing was never completely vanquished. It merely retreated and took on a new form: the Internets.
Theres only ONE internet. Its not the Internets
Crunchu I’m sorry, did I say Internets? I meant InterWEBS! Stupid auto-correct!
This movie is simply the best piece of cinematic art ever made....I grew up with it and I don't care what anyone else says.
Falkor's laugh at the end after the Bastian's revenge is much like mine when I have my revenge.
Held my baby girl while watching this Shes now 33

"Falcor, it is even more beautiful than I thought"!
And so is this movie!! A true masterpiece! After seeing this, I simply HAD to watch the movie again, and to my surprise it still holds up today. :-)

Children will barely experience the passion and joy of imagination, but the ones who do will live their life with a Golden heart.
"You're a little too heavy....we're going down."
I’m so happy all of a sudden hahah
I’m 33 and looking at the comments there’s a select few from that era that we’re blessed to have seen this very strange and originally cool movie

This was the best version of characters from all three movies.
So true, it was great being a kid in the late 80's early 90's, everything was better, movies, tv, video games, toys, candy, activities, it was honestly the shit and I'm so thankful to have lived that, easily the best time ever to be a kid.

Apenas magia !!!
I could certainly use a good Falcor moment now as an adult thats for sure. My super favourite movie as a kid :)

I always fill with such glee when bullies get what they deserve.
My grand-dog is named Falkor!
Falkor's head does look like that of a dog although he's a dragon.
I love this fantasy theme sound, forever! :)

Many Studio Scenes were filmed in Bavaria Studios, Munich where they had the Puppets in Life-Size.
O remember perfectly when I heard this song on cinema, in 1985

Nice Bastian and Falkor!!!
I'm glad my parents grew me up watching movies like this :D
The best scene is where Falcor and Bastian chase after the bullies. "IT'S A MONSTER!"
That was so Funny I watch the never ending story yesterday I love this movie and the dragon is a dog dragon and he's cute
We got to save an entire kingdom and ride around on a luck dragon. What have we given today's kids that even comes close to this?
