The First Terraria Moon Lord Speedrun In Under 1 Hour! (Moon lord NMA, Random Seed)

- This run has been in the making for a few months with an absurd amount of optimizations made by various members of the speedrunning community. While it's not a perfect run by any means it is a milestone for Terraria speedrunning and I could be any happier to be the one to do it first.
Being the runner I am, biggest issues with the run were:
- Over all slow early game, greeded for hp.
- Went the wrong way for souls.
- The Bed wasn't working because deerclopes' spawned and I totally forgot about him making it so I couldn't sleep.
- Slow at converting gear to summon gear post stardust.
A 55m run is pretty realistic without these mistakes and I wouldn't be surprised if another runner does this in the next few months.

From someone who has been playing terraria for years and years, and speedruns other games- absolutely awesome to see Terraria times being pushed down! I have always found this game interesting for runs due to the sheer amount of items and viable strats

@@Mrflimflam-wt2sdi suggest buying the mobile version because its cheaper, but you cant mod it. The controls are alright youll get used to them but you could change them if your uncomfortable

nice run, I haven't watched a terarria speedrun for a while and I was not prepared for how agressive that plantera fight was lmaooo

I use normal teleporter trick to defeat plantera
And here i am with 44hrs, still on normal mode making sure im OVER prepped for hardmode
Meanwhile I, 270hrs, have no clue where the jungle temple is. And my map reset (I moved my character off cloud by accident)

@@gavoristodanger2667I like to take my time and build, set up arenas, do fishing, organizing, etc. I have 4 worlds for the classes to beat the game with and then discard, they won't even be main worlds but I still have pylons, a decentish house, a good arena, etc because I like doing it so I usually take awhile before getting there too

i know part of the fun of terraria speedruns are the insane random generations part
but i'd also like to see a category where everybody uses the same seed, to see what kind of variations they could come up with. once you know where everything in the world is you can map out routes and find microsecond improvements in movement.

the issue is getting everyone to agree on what seed. it would have to be something particularly special and unique while avoiding particular hang ups that the community agrees are not fun.

Also, doesn't it seem like this would be a great seed to start with casually? just sayin immediate hermes boots, a flying carpet, AND five ivy chests + a house right at the start if the jungle is just perfect
I mean top end speed runners actively reset early into runs until they get a good start seed, so that was the goal, so when your only taking good seeds your bound to get one this good eventually

Took me 16 hours just to get to wall of flesh my first time just listening to guide and getting lucky my second play through I was so lost in beginning game I have no idea how I progressed like that

Fun fact: Haboo actually means I’m listening in a native American language. It’s often used as a way to get peoples attention. A Native American guy (who I won’t name for safety reasons) that came in to teach our grade about Native Americans and he taught us games and words and many other things one of those words was “Haboo” we learned what it means and what kind of people used it. Later that year did a social studies/Native American simulation to learned what it was like to be a Native American when the land was being taken away. Me and one of my friends were voted leaders we used it to get peoples attention during announcements. I hope you learned something today :D

Insane how easy the game is on clasic. Touching an enemy in the temple is like 180 damage with post moon lord equip on Master mode and you just ram into every enemy with incomplete hallow armor just for 10 damage

Im a little confused? Is this a set seed you are running?
I ask because there are a couple of things that seems odd to a casual player.
1. You pick an odd spot to dig down with the bombs.
2. You avoid chests on your path to beeline for chests off of the direct route.
3. You dont explore left or right at all. Just beeline for hearts that are off screen.
There is more but thats all from the opening 7 minutes for people to check.

To be clear I don't generally watch speed runs. I watched yours to answer a question I had about Terraria.
Im not saying you are cheating just it seems there is info missing on how you are routing your run.
It would be interesting to here the how and why that you often get with speed run posts.

Any tips on how to do the one block grapple?? Seen around 30 minutes mark and also few more spots... It would help insanely to learn
He's using junction boxes which can be placed anywhere because it's wiring that combined with featherfall potions launches you when you grapple them
