Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through CZcams videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Let's be respectful but, just as importantly, not be afraid to question any and everything about historical records in order to give us the most accurate representation of the history of our species and of our planet!
Having a diverse perspective is crucial to what I want to achieve here so please don't hold back! I want to learn about all I can! Keep recommending and PLEAESE join my Discord :) ( / discord )

The living LEGEND that is The Big Yin. Loved by everyone. A natural born storyteller
@andrewobrien6671 Yeah :D Powers of observation second to none. Him and Dave Allen my all-time favourites. Masters of their craft.
An audience with Billy Connolly check it out has to be 1 of the funniest shows ever
Love Billy Connolly ❤️
YES! The big yin is the best 😁
Some people bring the world joy, like our Billy.
Billy Connolly is and always be the best in my opinion. I was lucky enough to see him at the Birmingham Symphony Hall here in the UK. It was amazing, I have watched Billy Connolly as long as I can remember. If any of you have seen his World Tour Of Scotland; World Tour Of England, Ireland, and Wales; World Tour Of Australia, you will know how good he is in a documentary role, also he played a fab part in the film Mrs Brown, you must also watch an audience with Billy Connolly. They say they should have renamed the Royal Albert Hall after him because of how often he was there. It is such a shame he retired from stand up comedy.
Thats cool you got to see him live. The audience with show is really good, theres a short 50 minute TV version and a much longer version with like an extra 50 minutes of stories and uncut jokes which I have up. I like his travel shows, he is very accepting of different people he meets. I put one of his US shows up the other day
@@LilMonkeyFella87 I will check that out, thank you. 👍🏻👍🏻 I have quite a few of his stand up and I have the world tour DVD’s. I wanted one of his pictures, but they are just to rich for my taste. 🤣😂🤣
He will always be wind swept and interesting.
This was from Whoopi Goldberg Presents Billy Connolly . From 1989. Billy Connolly live stuff is sooo difficult to get on here, its been hit really bad for copyright in the last 5 years. Clips that used to be allowed have been scrubbed off the internet. I got his full "Audience With" show up, which is a rare exception. I got one of his 3 part travel shows up that he did in America too, which is enjoyable and educational
I’ve seen this a few times before, but watching your reaction has really made my day, 😃 your laugh and smile is so infectious, as they say “laughter is the best medicine” 😀
Hi Connor, would you believe it, just finished watching Billy an hour ago in "The Boon Dock Saints", where he plays a charecter similar to John Wick. Apparently he had so much fun playing a badass, they had to give his charecter "El Duce" a big fat cigar to chew on, to stop him grinning from ear to ear
My parents are Scottish and my dads favourite comedian is Billy Connelly, back in the 70’s when I was a little kid I remember that me and my two older brothers would listen to my dads Billy Connelly record so we learned the best swear words from Billy and my dad.
My dad now lives in Tuktoyaktuk Northwest Territories and Billy made a documentary where he visited places in northwest Canada and went to Tuktoyaktuk and my dad got to meet Billy and has a picture with him.
Ah Billy! ❤
I have been binge watching Billy in his documentaries Billy does....I saw him in the 80's laughed so hard all the way through his show.. He is ill now but still just as funny with all the lifetime stories he tells.
Greatest comedian ever. EVER!
His Colonoscopy sketch was brilliant
Hi Connor, you said "aeroplane " not the American airplane ❤
Those closed captions were crap.
What do you mean? Haven't you ever heard of the country Astray Leah? 😅
Somehow, I don't think the subtitles will have helped - they can't handle Glaswegian! Billy Connolly is a legend.
The captions were funnier than the Big Yin....🤣🤣🤣
That film Billy was talking about didn’t star Errol Flynn tearing down the ship’s sail, it was Douglas Fairbanks in the 1926 movie “The Black Pirate”.
And this is why I love Internet comments. I’d have never bothered checking that but I’m glad someone did. (And no, I am not being sarcastic, I seriously love it that people would take the time to fact check and correct a comedy routine from decades ago. This to me is both useful, true, but also as funny as the routine itself. It’s exactly the kind of comment I like to make myself if I’d have known this) BlueShadow777, I salute you o7
One of the funniest things about this video are the subtitles!
You should try sir Les Patterson, seriously. Barry Humphries was the best. Watch ‘sir Les p circa 1985’ for a typical appearance by Les on a talk show. Chaotic, revolting, and v,v funny.
Now you gotta watch "The Sh*ts Abroad! | Micky Flanagan Live: The Out Out Tour". It's got a similar vibe and is hilarious. Micky Flanagan's really good.
I'd love to visit Astray Leah one day
It's a great story as long as you don't read the subtitles.
You shouldn't need the subtitles as it's not even a thiick Glasgow accent, with me also from Glasgow you'd need subtitles 😂
The weird subtitles are nearly as funny as Billy Connolly!

At 4:05 I WASN'T THERE! That's why you couldn't see me!
Why on earth did it pick ny obscure name?
That's the first time I've seen that!
Captions can't really get Billy Connolly, 'except through a glass darkly'.
You need to check out Jasper Carrot doing a routine about genuine car insurance claims. Yes sounds boring, but it isn’t!
@davidblanchard 'there's no cannin Bovril'. Also early Phil Cool.
@@secondtimearound2539 It's 'There's no cowin Bovril'.
@@jeanbicknell7887 ty :) It's a brilliant sketch
@@secondtimearound2539 It is indeed.
Moderate funny.
American auto translation can't do English/Scottish proper. 😂😂
Who's operating the " closed captions/subtitles", Stevie Wonder !!??
F!one some jasper carrot reading insurance claims or I had this mole
Must have been the goose..
Should get your Subtitles sorted !
LOL, they're the automated subs, nothing the uploader can do about them
I can’t breathe now. Billy has Dementia now and he is still this funny, he knows he has it. He married an Australian Comedian named Pamela and they have 3 daughter. She gave up her stage career to go back to University and become a Psychologist. She said she had to so she could live with him. You pick any of his videos and you won’t be able to breathe either. Thank you.
Just a heads up, it’s Billy not Bill.
Your captions don't match Billy's speech

CZcams obviously doesn't understand plain English
@@michaeledmondson5100 it’s an America website, I wouldn’t expect anything less. 🤣😂🤣😂
Yeah
