The BRUTAL Execution Of The Female Guard Of Stutthof Concentration Camp

  • Throughout the Second World War, there were many female guards who worked inside of concentration camps. One of the most brutal sites was Stutthof Concentration Camp, and here there were a number of women from the local area who were recruited to work there. One young woman was Elisabeth Becker who trained as a female guard, and at the end of World War 2 she would be placed on trial for her involvement in war crimes and crimes against humanity. Becker was known for being involved in the selections of prisoners who would be then sent to the gas chambers.
But Elisabeth Becker was 22 years old when she was executed. Her execution took place in front of 200,000 people inside of Gdansk on a huge hill on large sets of gallows. The former guards of Stutthof who had inflicted such suffering and brutality were then executed on this large hill in front of a massive crowd. There had been calls for Elisabeth Becker to be pardoned, but this did not happen.

After ww1 there was a lost generation. Many of the young men had been killed in the war. There were few prospective husbands for the young women. Those that were had no job prospects to marry and raise a family. The young women had no expectations to comfortable marriages as housewives. Most working class families could not afford to keep their children in school and they could only look forward to a life of menial labor. And many of them resented it like hell. They were easily manipulated by the nazis who offered scapegoats and easy answers. And many wanted good paying jobs I see unfortunate parallels among our young people today. Those who came of age during the Great Recession had crushing student debt and no job prospects. Even now they are playing catch up. They are just trying to enter the corporate ladder. At the same time they are unable to afford home ownership because rents consume so much of their income. This has real long term consequences. They can’t leverage home equity to borrow responsibly and drive our economy. Many of our young people see our military as an opportunity to better paying jobs and a college education. Extremist organizations see them as prime meat in their internet recruiting. Income inequality is worsening and so is susceptibility to political extremism

Today is the 79th anniversary of operation Neptune, more commonly referred to as D-day, and the tens of thousands of men and machines are flung against Hitlers famed but ultimately flawed Atlantic wall, the carnage and destruction of man and machine was absolutely devastating for the men, fear and bravery woven into their very fibre, but they prevailed and gained a foothold on mainland Europe, little did they know that they or men like them were going to see what true hell was like under the jackboot of Nazi and SS depravity, the discovery of the concentration camps was so profound a moment in the brutality of war and history that it might seem impossible for our younger generations to understand or believe, but, in my mind the vision that they beheld was worse than any macabre experience that they would have thought possible. Even when those camps were liberated the suffering that those “lucky” enough to survive was just starting a new chapter, disease was rampant, dysentery and cholera to name but two, malnutrition, mental illness and infestations, bodies piled high like so much driftwood and the smell of death and decomposition eating into the pores of those already saturated by it and those who were unlucky enough to be present, the unimaginable suffering that the inmates of the concentration camps can NOT and shall NOT be allowed to be forgotten, as for those, men and women alike, who committed these most heinous atrocities and, for some, who revelled in their actions they must never be allowed to rest in peace, they should suffer the fire and brimstone of the inferno, of hellfire and damnation that they surely were sent into. Those that died at the hands of their evil overlords must be remembered for all time and be allowed the peace in death that they were denied in life.
In my opinion the Nazis and the SS, along with all others responsible for the horrors of the Holocaust got, in most cases, exactly what they deserved, they did not deserve compassion or sympathy because the moment they stepped over the threshold of humanity they lost the right to be treated as human beings, they became the instruments of evil and inhumanity the likes of which have rarely, if ever, been seen again, and must NEVER be seen again. The punishment handed down was nothing more and nothing less than an attempt to cleanse the world of their evil souls. Believing in a cause is one thing, BLIND OBEDIENCE is completely another and those that led the blind to commit their crimes are as guilty, if not more so, than those who wielded the instruments of death and depravity creating what we now refer to as the HOLOCAUST.
Sorry for my rant, my soapbox put away and my spleen vented, I am not sure exactly where my thoughts 💭 came from, perhaps one to many documentaries about war and its effects on humanity and civilisation. Thanks for sharing this event with us all. LEST WE FORGET. Per Ardua Ad Astra.

That's very human thing to say actually. Most people would behave this way.
And that includes her actions as well. She, as a part of the Nazi cult, believed that cetain people were the Evil itself. Therefore she couldn't feel any empathy. And she thought they deserved it.
The exact same logic, except the definition of "the Evil" was different.

Not enough murdering Nazi's were held accountable for their actions during the war. In fact, thousands were allowed to settle in the USA after the war and tens of thousands were assisted by the Catholic Church in escaping prosecution and resettling in South America. Every single Nazi and their supporters should have been held accountable and be given the punishment so that God can judge them, too. Same goes for the Japanese. Their horrific crimes went unpunished.

The nazis then killed 1/2 the people in the camp and repkaced them with allied pridoners of war they sent some of the soldiers from Russia,Poland ,Belguim, and France to work on my grandparents farm. My grandparents gave them food to smuggle, eat, and smuggle back into the camp. They 7 treated the girls better than they were supposed to. They got caught, and most were arrested, but my grandmother's arrest warrant went to the wrong address. Instead of going to the chief of police it went to the mayor. He was a friend, so he burned it and warned them.

They were nothing more than instruments, rather than instrumental to the executions. In a sense, today’s executioners who are executing the prisoners on the death row, are no different from those who were serving the German Nazis. German female guards would not have the sheer authority to make decisions on the POW. She probably escorted the victims of Nazis to the slaughter house as part of the orders they were executing, but they wouldn’t have the authority to make that decision.
Jews were prisoners of war too, because they didn’t participate in the war. And that cost them dearly. They were better off to participate in the war, instead of trading gold and goods and trying to hide and but the Germans for their hides.
