      You can just slap some RS stickers on the PP, for me the RS is a regression, for just 10 more HP, very high up, less torque, more frequent service interval with the desmo distribution???

      My impression from V4S was that, apart from being a good bike, it is "too much smooth and nice". I wanted her to be more sharp, raspy, loud and with more sharp and steep power delivery. A bike which punishes with every mistake, but rewards when you are treating her right. Well, here it is I guess :-D@@DakarBlues

    Man, it's the golden age of motorcycles. We're so lucky. This is the perfect bike for a big boy like me but in terms of cost, it's just easier having a separate track bike and street bike still. Seems several of us see the that this bike is a knee jerk reaction to the BMW XR1000M to create bigger dyno graph peak horsepower numbers-but be behind the stock V4 at least 15-18 horsepower until over 10,000 rpms-while still bring way behind the BMW. I have seen the secret Ducati dealer only dyno graph of the two motors power laid over each other and the bike ain’t making sense. A track only adventure bike is odd.

    Having the ability to have side cases may distinguish this from the MXR, as many of us who have SXR's are bummed that reportedly the MXR will not come with a luggage option. Come on BMW, know your customers! Good job by Ducati knowing that side cases are a prerequisite for true touring. But on power alone, these will have to be close. I think the shift cam on the MXR will win out for regular street speeds, and mid range power. Topmost end, it may be the Ducati.

    • @MrLuNa77

    This makes sense, but having a “Pikes Peak” model does not since there is no more bike racing at Pikes Peak and none of these V4 Multistradas will ever race there officially. The last Pikes Peak that raced (and won) at PP was the 2018 model generation under Carlin Dunne (RIP). So making a V4 PP was just a marketing gimmick. Now having a special RS model with the Desmo engine does make sense as “the most extreme and sporty” version of the Multistrada.

I always wanted the Pani engine in the Multi valvs and all, they did it and you can feel it all over the rev range. I took it out w/ 6 miles and didn't want to stress it but id like to know what the V max is because 160 is all i could muster in the Multi V4S when i wanted 200+ like my Pani. I can't imagine why they would not have manufactured the V4RS with a real streetfighter engine rather than a 180 hp engine that compromises the street and touring capabilities of a Multistrada. The V4 Streetfigher makes little sense because the top end performance is compromised by being a naked motorcycle. I80 hp is more than adequate for a Streetfigher, but a Multistrada could take advantage of 220 hp.

    @CurvedSlightly Před 9 měsíci +2

    Missing the point completely, this is a 'adventure bike' not a sports tourer. If you're going to do track days, get a Panigale, this is just an example of Ducati trying to rinse idiots (or 'tradies') with no idea of their hard earned cash they've scammed from pensioners.

    Proof that Ducati have jumped the shark. Just 10 more hp but less power than the standard bike below 10,000rpm. It would be pretty pointless putting a 204hp SF engine in a multi but plain stupid putting a neutered 180hp version. Perhaps it’s an iq test. If you buy this you’ve failed?

    • @ilmostro16
      @ilmostro16 Před 9 měsíci +9

      Actually this does make sense, what doesn’t make sense is having a Pikes Peak version of the V4 because this generation of MS has never and will never race at Pikes Peak (bikes are banned since Carlin Dunne died). But putting the Desmo engine to make the most extreme version of a Multistrada will appeal to many who want a “real” Ducati engine (with Desmo valves) with advanced engine control stuff, but are older or very tall folks who cannot ride small cramped bikes like the Streetfighter.

    • @inlovewithmycar7085
      @inlovewithmycar7085 Před 9 měsíci +5

      @@ilmostro16it’s literally got only 10hp more. Increased service intervals and less torque. If you want the 22hp more then be prepared to pay at least 5 grand for the full system. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me as a track bike. And even less sense as a touring bike as there are cheaper better models in their own range.

    another useless ducati. For shows and museums. If you want a track bike, there are panigale's, or alot cheaper options on ducati range, this is again will be a collectors bike. why would you want a dry clucth on your sports tourer :D for sure this bike will be amazing for Pikes peak competition or Isle of man TT, but in UK? Not sure. Its a beautiful V4 multistrada, they should all look this good. (but they dont). Ducati recently started to do this piss race with mv agusta, who has the most beautiful and most expensive bike. While Bmw copy Honda 750 :D to make 1300 GS. The world gone mad. Whats next ? goldwing isla of men TT version ? fck knows.

Ducati are on a path to irrelevance if they continue down this road. Look at this years releases so far. Not a single machine to ignite the passions of the next generation of younger riders.
