The list of the artists who sang that song is enough impressive:Doris Day, Patsy Cline, Louis Armstrong, Shirley Bassey, Nat King Cole, Aretha Franklin, Bette Midler ...but the best cover for me is the one by Olivia Newton-John in the movie "Xanadu" :o)

They really cut corners on this soundtrack. They need to put out an expanded version with ALL the songs from the movie on it.
R.I.P., Olivia. The world is weeping at the loss of you.
Agreed
this track has been sorely missing from my life for 44 years.
R.I.P. Olivia Newton-John....such a loss to the world.
R.I.P., Olivia. The world is weeping at the loss of you.
Dear Olivia, you made the world love you and we were more than glad to do it and now that you're gone, you're making the world miss you. R.I.P.❤😇
This is thebest rendition in the world!
There never could have been a better actress to play our Kira, than of course, our incredible Ms. Olivia Newton-John. This was one of my favorite parts of my all time favorite movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I love this song version , Perfect
In the film, there is dialogue over this song.... nice to hear the full version...
absloutely heavenly! i wish she had sang more jazz in the 1970's.
She's beatiful for ever.
You made us all love you Olivia 💗
Best version of this song I ever heard
We, who love this Olivia's version. We, few. We, happy few.
Thank you for sharing this lost classic. Xanadu was trying so hard to be cool and timely - but needed less roller disco and more of Gene and Olivia.
Olivia's such a beauty.
I loved Xanadu as teenager and always wanted to hear the full version of this and the song that was playing before she sings Xanadu, thank god for the net.
Olivia is so beautiful and talented. I love this song! BTW, Xanadu is one of my favorite movies! The music is awesome!
Still love after all this time
💗 i so love this version from Xanadu... heard it back there in the movie release and adoooored it.💖
beautiful.....
This song was the b-side of her duet "Suddenly" with Cliff Richard.
I listened to side of the 45 than Suddenly. 🥰
And wouldn't this movie have been so much better with Cliff Richard in it!
Soo beautiful they both sound great together Olivia Newton John sings like a ANGEL so sweet her voice is.🌹
beautiful clip and song
thank you
Very nice, thanks.
Impresionante voz, el día que deje de existir esta maravillosa persona llamada Olivia Newton John mis ojos se ahogarán en un mar de lágrimas, la amo y admiro, gracias por subir la canción... Mex City...
I just loved Olivia.
SHE WAS SENSATIONAL !!
I MISS HER SO BAD.
ALWAYS WILL BE A HUGE FAN OF HERS..
A lot sadder world with Olivia not with us anymore😢
Love this song specially in thr movie!!!
Patsy Cline, does a wonderful version of this song too.
this is a song i listen to almost every day when i get off work or even when i'm working. I love the the transition from fast happy to slow sad then again it's from a movie and soundtrack i've loved since a kid.
Wow
Quel plaisir de redécouvrir cette chanson !!
This track should have been on the soundtrack. I know it was the b-side to one of the singles at the time. It's a travesty.
It was the b side to Suddenly. I wish it was on the soundtrack too. I use to play this side of the 45 because I loved it.
RIP beautiful soul🎼💕
Put several 40's remakes(Yeah I know this was earlier!) CDs together including Sting, Art Garfunkle, Stevie Nicks, Billy Joel, Elton John, Chicago and many many more! Yes, this one made one of the CDs as well! LOV LIVY!
I didn't know this song had a verse as I only ever heard the chorus---interesting!
Nicely put together with some great visuals
Maravilhosa!💞⚘
Awesome version!! Was this taken from the "B" side of a 45? I remember that was the only place it was available?
absolutely amazing ❤❤
I've been worry all day long
Don't know if I'm right or wrong
I can't help just what I say
Your love makes me speak this way
Why,oh why should I feel blue
once I used to laugh at you
but now I'm cryin'
No use denyin'
but no one else but you what do
You made me love you
I didn't wnat to do it
I didn't wnat to do it
You made me want you
And all the time you knew it
I guess you've always knew it
You made me happy sometimes
You made me glad
But there were times, dear
You made me feel so bad
You made me sigh for
I didn't wanna tell ya
I didn't wanna tell ya
I want some love, that's true
Yes I do,'Deed I do
You know I do
Gimme, gimme what I cry for
You know you've got the kind of kisses
That I'd die for
You know
You made me love you
R.I.P My Angel Libby 😢😢😢😭😭

Cookie MOnster From the Muppets also did this song :) Also, I'm not sure but maybe Gonzo did this song too?
Not a good movie, but Olivia is lovely, Gene is sophistication itself, and the soundtrack....
I love this song version , Perfect
