@@IzZyRaWrwe all thought it was a Simon quest tornado refrence but it was the original Castlevania NES refrence in stage 2 you just need to stand in one place for a treasure chest to appear
@PsychedelicMakai It's been quiiiiite awhile for me, but I'm pretty sure there's a couple of the flashy treasures in the original Castlevania that you need to crouch for. (:
@@IzZyRaWr It really does work, though. No idea why, or how it took so long to find. Someone just randomly reported it on _The Cutting Room Floor_ wiki. 🤷♀
:) :) :) It's a thing! Here's a quickie: just below that...the room with the telescope? Usually when you enter the room, a bird will come and sit in a nest underneath the room. If you exit and come back as necessary, you can watch the entire lifecycle of the birds.
Yes because if you couldn't use the lift to get back up and out of that room and didn't have the mist ability then you would be fucked and you would be stuck in that room for eternity.
@@IzZyRaWr That's actually insane. I've beaten the game four times and I could have beaten it a hundred times more and I wouldn't even be close to finding that.
@@FoxNamedLuke it's a pretty sneaky secret! I've felt the same about several secrets over time. Even the minus world trick in Super Mario Bros.! Like, who the hell managed to figure that out??
I actually found it by accident. Had to put the controller down for a sec to take care of something else and it just happened to be in that exact spot. When I came back to the game, I was going down the elevator and into the secret room. I thought I was softlocked until I figured the way out. God I love SotN and its little details and secrets.
Just paying attetion to Alucard's animations. He makes a certain pose while he is on the edge of a platform and while he is on a elevating platform. When you stand still in that part of the wall, he will pose like that, meaning he is standing in a elevating platform.
@charmanderlover6433 yes! Specifically, this is from Castlevania Requiem, which is a port of the PSP version. My old PS1 disc is laying around here somewhere though...
Yep! (: I've played on PS1 back in the day, PSP, and on Castlevania Requiem. This secret is an intended part of the game and I've never seen it not work.
You don't have to crouch
Really? :0
You were right. (:
Perhaps, but it is the most natural position after eating pot roast from a wall.

Possible reference to the cryptic crouching tornado in the other castlevania.
Yooooo this is like a call back to that stupid hold a gem and crouch down for a while and a tornado takes you away
Here is a secret. You can break the wooden bridge with a controller plugged into port 2 on psone press triangle. Dont need the bomb.
You're giving me Psycho Mantis flashbacks, lol.

I just think it's funny to trigger the hint from the wrong side of the bars, lol.
hiiiii~ I did that all the time as a kid cause I'd forget it was blocked haha
@@kirbypufocia hehehe! It's also fun to break the game with the Jewel Knuckles. (: Those things hit so freakin' hard for early game!
@@IzZyRaWr omg yessss, n I love that it double hits if you're point blank range, it's so strong >:3
Okay never knew that! And when I go through a grate as Mist I always say "Mist DID pass..."
I honestly thought this was a joke about the pot roast making you pass [gas] I don’t know what is wrong with me...
Lol, eww
I've weirdly know about this but don't know why, I've never played more than the first 30 minutes of Castlevania 2
I appreciate the oddity of you behavior. (: Buuuuut if you decide to change, this one and ESPECIALLY Super Castlevania IV are worth your time.
that trick is from the PSONE and it never came out
WHAT?! How do people even find something like this?
I can't remember how I learned about it. I think probably PSN Magazine back, way back in the 90s!

I wanna know every secret this game have
I believe in you. (:
Wait, what?!
Try it. :) There is no glitchy prep work to be done or anything, just go crouch there. 👍🏻
Jewel Knuckles break the beginning of the game a bit though, hehehe...
You don't have to crouch
Lol, mist could pass.
I think only for Richter in 360 version. Tried with alucard. Doesn't work. Unless it's just me.
wait longer hehe
Lol. Is this in the PSP version too? As of rn, that's the only version I have. Planning to track down a PS1 copy in the future.
