- A driver in Arizona is being praised as a hero for saving the life of an ambushed state trooper on Thursday. Police say a suspect shot the state trooper who had stopped to investigate a car crash on an interstate west of Phoenix. A man driving by came to the trooper's rescue and ended up killing the suspect. DeMarco Morgan reports.
The Hero was on his way to California and had a gun in his car. That is a miracle.

Check out on CZcams for Russian response to barricaded man. There is a video which shows the Russian military respond to an armed man with an FREAKING APC! They actually open fire on the house with the auto cannon, and the suspect was killed. He also only had a pistol!

There were two heroes in this story, the man that got his gun killing the suspect and the man that got on the trooper's car radio and called in for the helicopter.

Just realize that there are many of us out there that support BLM that also support law enforcement. The two are not mutually exclusive.
I don't carry so I wouldn't be able to shoot a suspect, but I would sure test out the strength of my front bumper if it meant saving an officers life.

So glad I live in Arizona. I just saw a video of a a guy who fired a warning shot to help a woman being mugged in NYC and he was hunted down and arrested.
Wow! This is the first time I'm hearing about this one. That man is an absolute hero! The other passerby did awesome too. I hope the officer has fully recovered and by now has been able to meet the man who saved his life. Amazing!
Private citizens stop millions of crimes per year with the legal responsible firearm use, unfortunately we rarely hear these stories that are 100x more common than a bad guy with a gun.
This guy was in my Battery in Afghanistan. He was a cool dude. The State Troopers offered him a job and gave him a commemorative .45 for saving the troopers life.
Edit: So I mixed this up with another shootout in AZ. Apparently this is normal for Arizona? I can't find an article on the shooting but it happened in Mesa, AZ. Don't want to dox him so I'm not going to post his name.

If I remember correctly (because this happened very close to me) the Good Samaritan ran up to the officer and asked “do you want help” and the officer told him yes so the hood guy got his gun pointed it at the bad guys head told him to stop he refused to stop attacking the officer so the good guy popped him in the head. I believe he then went on to say he hasn’t always had a good relationship with cops but felt God put him there that night for a reason and was glad he was able to save the officer.
